Bayco KW-110 Cord Reel, Orange

This item is fantastic for rolling up cords to store or even rolling up electric hot fence! The ease of use is straight forward and cannot be beat. Found the first one at Tractor supply but they didn’t have any more so found and bought 5 more here! The quality is great and these aren’t expensive at all. I am sure we will order more because this is way better than rolling them around your arm or hand to collect long cords!

I bought two of these to store my 100ft extension cords. Prior I was lazy and didn't wind them the best way, so these help me out a lot. They keep them wound neatly and they don't unravel and get tangled up like before for me. Overall these are made of plastic, but I have a couple of older ones which still work fine and don't break unless you really make an effort to break them. Overall good addition to my extension cords to keep them wound nicely.

Like others have written, this product is very cheap and good value. The Cord reel did not fully rotate easily. I used a sharp box cutter knife to trim some of the plastic welds so it operated freely. Took a minute. Not a big deal. Works well for my use! 4 Star. GREAT VALUE

There were a few quality control things like burrs and non-smooth surfaces but it holds a cord and winds around smoothly enough.I would reccomend putting the end you want to use as the inside of the coil, so that you can place the other end, and then walk to your desired location while unwinding. This will make sense once you use it and if you put it the wrong way, it's easy enough to reverse.

When I got this the plastic moulding had some seems that would catch and make it hard to use. I had to go and sand down the moulding areas for it to work smoothly. Then also the handle was loose. I unscrewed the handle, and put a washer on the inside of the handle. Tightened it back up, and now it doesn't have so much play, and just works better. So I had to make two tweaks to this item to get it to function better. I still don't know if it's my favorite way to store electrical cords.

I bought 3 of these for my loose cables and a 25ft air compressor hose I own.Pros:It works.It's cheap.It does what I wanted.Cons:It's cheap.You need to make some immediate alterations for it to even work.When unpackaged, the reel won't fully spin with the black inner handle due to machining quality when it was made. There are small residual plastic stick-outs in the track that weren't cleaned up and keep the inner handle from sliding. You can cut these out with any simple knife and maybe sand it down a little to make the slide smoother.Next as I began reeling my cable to it I noticed the handle getting looser.They hadn't tightened down the bolts enough and the nut on the inside of the reel handle loosens itself immediately. You can tighten this with a Phillips screwdriver. I recommend pressing the screwdriver hard to the screw (it may not fit into the space so mine was at an angle) and then tighten it by turning the handle. I could tighten it way more that way.After cleaning up, they work totally fine. All three of them needed it so I'm guessing this is just a poor manufacturing process with very little QC.
