I love Murad, but it is terribly expensive. Nevertheless I tried a small tube of this facial cleanser and it is great! I have dry skin with rough patches on my cheeks. I exfoliate, but because I'm over 60 I can't be rough with my skin. I used to have perfect skin until I became very ill and my medications changed everything. I use the Murad AHA/BHA cleanser and like it too. This one is really wonderful and left my skin soft and moisturized. The scent is nice and I will continue buying it because I have bottles of unused cleansers that do not work and are wasted money. It is worth it to spend more on something that is effective than to keep throwing away money. Now if I could fine a nighttime moisturizer that worked.

It is good for skin that has redness, it calms it down so it is less revealing

This has been my "go to" cleanser for a decade or more. I have sensitive skin, and this is the best cleanser I've found. I use this product every morning when I wake up and each night before going to bed. It does a great job of cleansing my face and makes it feel silky soft. I just use a hyaluronic acid, water gel moisturizer after cleansing. Be aware that "shrinkflation" has struck again. My earlier purchases came in 6.75 fl oz containers. Now (July 2025), the same product comes in a 5 fl oz container.

great for face wash in the shower

I used Murad's men's shaving cream for years and loved it - there was and still is nothing like it on the market. When they discontinued it a few years ago (perhaps because 1 tube lasted a year and they didn't sell a lot relative to their overwhelming array of women's products?), their support desk referred me to this as the closest thing they now offer. It works well, but they reduced the amount of lubricant in this product, and it feels like the same stuff at work but basically thinner. On the upside, it doubles as a face wash when I'm traveling. For men's shaving it is much better than anything else on the market -- I tried almost all of the other highly rated products on Amazon looking for a substitute when they left me hanging. This new product deserves 5 stars for this reason, but I'm disappointed that Murad did not continue their orignal product or at least license the formula or start some other brand that could continue it, so 4 stars. Yes, it's expensive relative to other stuff on the market for shaving, but it's that much better and you don't need a lot of it per shave - the tube lasts a year. If you're still rubbing stuff from a Gillette chemical factory on your face, you're probably spending more per year. Buy it, and try it for shaving, and you won't be disappointed. ...Unless you were fortunate enough to use the prior stuff they discontinued, which you'll miss and still be disappointed and harbor a bit of resentment toward Murray.

I've been using this product for years and I am very satisifed with it. I'm 76 yrs. old, but everyone always thinks I'm much younger because of my skin.

I am a huge fan of Murad products and have been lucky enough to try a few now. The moisturiser I've been using for some time is the Murad Environmental Shield with SPF 30 and I've been really happy with it but this moisturiser is even better - in fact I'd go so far to say that the best moisturiser I've ever used. It goes on like a dream. It's heavier than the environmental shield moisturiser but it sinks in easily and has a hydrating effect that makes ageing skin like mine feel and look better almost immediately. The only downside to it is the price but as with all of the Murad creams - a little goes a long way. This one also has SPF 30, which appears to be very effective. It's in a tube, not a jar so you don't have to worry about bacteria getting into the mix from your fingers. All in all, if you have ageing, dehydrated skin this is the moisturiser for you.
