I'm not sure. But it makes my hair extremely soft and less frizzy.

I'm sure you can because the ingredients are pretty much for natural hair which is mild nothing that will strip the hair.

My hair and my daughter's are 4c and I always wanted to wear loose hair without having to lock it and then the shrinkage factor was even worse my daughter goes to school happy with her hair down with the wind blowing and I also love to see my hair like that
