This Extractor is exactly what I needed to solve my audio issues. My older tv does not have digital audio output to go to my Yamaha head unit. This extractor not only solved that issue, but even within the digital audio issue, it solved a second, unexpected issue as well. Some apps on my AppleTV use a different digital audio signal and it drops some audio in 5.1. This extractor has both a digital optical audio Out, as well as a 2.1 Stereo Output that I also connected to my Head unit. With one flick of the selector switch on this unit and I can toggle between 5.1 or 2.1 stereo to fix the dropped audio issue with the certain Apps. (So far only the main ESPN broadcast and South Park, have had this issue for me, but Iโve read now other Apps and units like Firestick etc., may experience similar issues with sound bars or other audio devices). This extractor solved two issues I didnโt even know I had. With a little tinkering and experimentation I was able to dial this unit in and unlock the great surround-sound that my older TV wasnโt able to do. Highly recommended for similar issues.

Great extractor with a volume knob (not many have this). Works as described.

There are many hdmi decoders, but this one is the only unit I found that provides full spectrum hdmi passthrough, an optical outlet, RCA outputs and a headphone jack with a level control. I also has 4 indicators for HD, HDMI, etc. Housed in a cast aluminum case, with excellent instructions with full specs., this is much more like the professional electronic equipment that I have worked with than a consumer product. It's 90dn noise floor and .1% distortion are honest numbers that I believe it meets. You need a usb charger, but the unit is cheap for all you get and works great!

Iโve had two Xbox series Xโs and two controllers, even headphones; and always I hear crackling when I have wired headphones connected to a controller. Somewhere in my house is interference, and this device solves those issues. Instead just plug your headphones in and use the dedicated volume knob to adjust the volume. No need to touch the tvโs volume, the tv could be at zero volume.

This is a great little piece of kit. It does exactly what it says it should do. It extracts audio from HDMI signal cable. I've used it on several gigs to pull high quality sound to feed a PA system. If you need this kind of tool, this one is a performer. I will say that don't expect it to handle a loss of HDMI signalling and then a reapplication of the signalling. The unit need to be recycled to detect the audio traffic. There is a convenient led indicator to let you know if audio signalling is present on each HDMI interface. Right now I have it pulling audio from a mini-MAC HDMI interface to feed it to a 5.1 sound system. Works great! You wont be disappointed.
