Well made and very useful commercial paper cutter for many pages. I use this cutter to cut books into single pages so that I can scan them and convert all to a .pdf format for storage in my e-library. This cutter is strong and well made. A bit expensive but does the job it is supposed to do.

This item seems to be incomplete in its making. The blue part that is supposed to be the ‘guard’ that helps with protection is unsteady and moves easily. Which means it cannot offer the protection it should. At this time I do not have much hope for the cut quality, accuracy or its ability to do what it was purchased for. Will update review further on quality and accuracy of cuts when it has been used. Unfortunately I waited too long to take it out of the box and attempt to assembly it. The ‘manual’ did not come with any clear set of assembly instructions, as such you are left to tinker around and figure it out on your own. Updated. Don’t expect accuracy from this machine. As you can see in the picture there is no number one with at least HALF of a meter of the centimeters count line missing for centimeters. And no 0 for inches. This means if you try to line up your cutting according to their numbers you paper/pages will all be miss aligned.

I was so excited to try another cutter for my art room. Easy to set up. The first try I knew it was defective. The dial to bring down the clamp that holds the paper would not turn past two turns. The clamp would not even close on my paper stack to hold them in place. It was so hard to turn that it flipped the whole cutter over when I was trying to turn it. I even loosened the screws to see if that helped and it did not. I am returning it and trying my original brand I ordered at my previous school. I even emailed the company with no response 30 min after opening the package.

Very heavy. Won't slip as you are trying to cut the paper. Gave 3 stars because no directions of how to put the finger guard for around the blade on. Can't even find them online. It has the holes for where the screws go into but no way to attach the nuts. It came scratched in several places but will live with as I have projects and dont want to wait.

I purchased the TIANSE Heavy Duty Guillotine Paper Cutter A4 12" for home use. Delivery was fast and it was well packaged. This unit is heavy and well made. The only drawback was the instructions. They were so vague I had to spend a considerable amount of time to figure out how to put it together. Most frustrating was how to raise the blade, it is in the closed or down position when shipped. As another reviewer pointed out the measuring guide seems off. My work around is to mark my cut lines on a scrap top sheet of the paper stack. The blade is sharp so be careful.

Well on the second day of use the safety pin sheared off. I continued using it for about another week or two until the welded nut for the book clamp stripped rendering the cutter useless. The material is low quality metal, there were metal shavings all over the inside of the cutter when I went to investigate why the clamp stopped working. It is just a heavy piece of junk. Especially overpriced considering the fact that it's garbage. And obviously because the product itself is not designed correctly to the point where general use of the machine caused it to break, But obviously it wasn't the best product to begin with. Difficult to keep books squared even when clamped. I wouldn't even use it again for free

Honestly not really worth my time or money. It came broken in two spots. Both damaged enough to bother having to go through the trouble of returning. But it still came broken. I find that it’s not square at all. So even when you’re trying to cut a nice even square it doesn’t work. I wouldn’t waste my money on this product again.

Disappointing! The cut is not straight. I’m hesitant to use it because I’ve got to cut twice, flipping the stack of papers to shave off the long end. If it cut straight, I’d give it 5 stars for projects 11” and under.
