My hunt is over for the perfect induction capable ramen pot! I’ve always loved this brand. Their pots and pans are high quality but very reasonably priced. I have a few and I daresay they are comparable to my All-clad. This pot is no different. Both the pot and lid has a sturdy weight to it. I immediately bought a second as soon as I opened the package so I can enjoy for 2. My requirements for the ramen pot is as follows: shaped like a bowl, IH capable, at least 1.5 quarts but no more than 2 quarts. The handles have to be to the sides so as not to tip the bowl as would a conventional 1.5 sauce pan that has a long protruding handle and has a lid. This is the 1st pot that I came across that has met all my criteria. As it’s marketed as a Kadhai pot it was extremely hard to find. When doing a ramen pot search, all I could find were the gold aluminum ones, so no IH cooking. That this pot is Tri-ply makes it very versatile and is a huge bonus. You might be asking why a pot and not a bowl? It saves so much time on clean up and cooking is super fast using IH technology. I can get a piping hot bowl of ramen loaded with a bunch of nummy toppings on the table in less than 10 minutes which is a game changer on week days. The soup stays hot longer because I'm not pouring hot soup into a cool bowl. This pot is perfect for the aforementioned reasons. Having this lid helps me cook an egg to soft boil. I love that the lid is recessed and is not glass as some glass lids attract moisture in the metal rim.

Very good quality and perfect for one person ramen recipe. So convenient, you can cook and eat from the pot.

I know it’s originally meant for Indian dishes, but this is the perfect size for a 1~3 person shabu shabu / hot pot, especially for cooking at the table. The rolled edges (lip) help prevent spillage when ladling soup out of the pot. Light and sturdy, quality construction. It would also be useful for: - 1-2 person stir fry - 1-2 person “pot rice” - fits 2 instant noodle packets comfortably Overall, I would recommend as a multipurpose pot for anyone.

got the 2.75qrt one. very sturdy and quality pot for stir fry. meat and egg get stick but with a bit of water they easily come off. the pot though is a bit shallow, would prefer it deeper for easy stir frying. I didn't know the upper and bottom diameter of the pot. I highly suggest the seller post the info, including depth for all its products. I find it a bit small for stir frying. but the pot is nice and solid. will think of buying a large size in the future.

We’ve owned other Tramontina clad pots and loved them on our induction stove, so we were excited to try this one. Unfortunately, this particular pot (kadai) has been very frustrating. Food sticks to it easily, especially when frying, and it becomes super sticky around the edges. It doesn’t clean well in the dishwasher, and even scrubbing with a Scrub Daddy sponge doesn’t fully remove the residue. Both the inside and outside have these sticky spots, which is unusual compared to our other stainless steel clad pots we’ve used for 8 years. It’s very discouraging and frustrating. That said, we still loved cooking Indian curries in it — it’s the perfect size for a family of four. Perhaps this is a one-off issue. We would have liked to give it another chance by buying a new one, but it’s currently out of stock. Unsure about the warranty coverage either.
