Note: they were actually very kind and refunded my money. I am now going to reorder, from them since they stood by their product, but this time, will freeze it in cupcake-sized chunks, vacuum-seal them (probably not necessary but it won’t hurt), and thaw as needed. There is so much good testimony out there about tallow, and the cattle industry is under economic siege right now. They need our support! I did like it, very much in fact, until it went rancid four months before the expiration date, having used less than half of the container. Luckily, I learned of the problem before a holiday meal disaster, so am right now cooking a new pot of beans to serve tomorrow at Christmas Eve dinner with enchiladas. The expiration date wasn’t until late April 2026 and it has been sitting in a dark cabinet with an even temperature. Disappointing! If I buy more tallow, it probably won’t be this brand, and I will try freezing vacuum-sealed portions of to use as needed. It gives food a really good taste. .

Good product. Trying to totally eliminate seed oils of death from my diet. Saturated oils like this are the way to go for better health.

We bought this with the original intention to use it when frying steaks because butter burns too easily. Well, now we use it to cook most everything from frying quesadillas, meatballs, eggs, sautéing mushrooms... it adds such a nice flavor and doesn't burn like oils and butter can.
