I have made my own Natural Laundry Detergent for sometime now. I started doing it to save money when times were tough. I have gone back and forth between making my own and commercial bands. After reading this book I will never be distracted by my own laziness again and purchasecommercial brands. Not only does Natural Laundry Soap do an excellent job the benefits are superior. I didn't really know how much until I read this book.

This is a wonderful book! It is full of information on the different types of chemicals which are out into store bought laundry detergents, which I had no idea what they all were until now. There are many natural detergent recipes listed inside the book, so far I have tried one of them and it really does work. I can't wait to try the other recipes! Natural fabric softener recipes are also inside. I recommend this book to anyone who is ready to start using homemade natural recipes!

Lots of great information. There were not very many detergent recipes. Could have been vastly improved with some pictures... making the soap, presentation in containers for gifts or to sell, etc. Pictures to illustrate some of the things you discuss.

This book contained very useful information about making your own laundry detergent. This books discusses why homemade laundry detergent is better than store bought chemical laden detergents. It also provides recipes for making your own. Very useful and enlightening information.

You can find more information for free on the net. It's a total waste of money for making your own soap. Only good from the book is it tells you about the chemicals in the store bought products.

Not what I expected, very basic

I make my own soap, and do quite a bit of reading as well, so I have a bit of practical knowledge on the subject of soaps. I don't use commercial soaps, detergents or fabric softeners because I can't stand the toxic stench of the fake perfumes that are added to them. But even at that, I didn't realize just how many chemicals they actually use to make commercial soaps. Everyone who cares about their family and their environment needs to be aware of this valuable information. Even if you don't have the time to make your own soaps, bar or laundry, there are still plenty you can buy that aren't made of these petrochemicals and fake smells.The book definitely needs some editing, but the information is so valuable that I give it 4.5 stars.
