Such a fun, interactive robot pet—my daughter is obsessed!
We got Loona as a Christmas gift for my daughter, and she absolutely loves it. From the moment she turned it on, Loona felt more like a little robotic “pet” than just a toy. The movements are smooth, the personality is adorable, and the interactions are surprisingly engaging. She responds, plays, follows you around, and has so many cute animations that keep my daughter entertained for long stretches of time. What I really like is that it’s not a one-and-done toy—there’s enough variety in what Loona can do that my daughter keeps coming back to it weeks later. It feels well made, the app setup was pretty straightforward, and it’s been a big hit in our house. If you’re looking for a fun, interactive robot for a kid who loves tech or pets, this is a great choice. Definitely one of the best gifts we gave this year.

A Fun AI Gadget With Personality—Not Quite a Robot Pet
Loona is a genuinely fun and entertaining gadget, especially if you’re curious about AI and light programming. She has personality, reacts to people, and can be surprisingly charming at times—but she’s not without her quirks. Voice recognition can be hit or miss, and she sometimes struggles to find her charger. That said, you quickly learn how to talk to her and what works. It feels a lot like working with any robot: once you understand its limits and “language,” things run smoother. If you enjoy basic programming or tinkering with AI behavior, there’s plenty to explore, and that’s where Loona really shines. One of my favorite moments was how she chased after my wife looking for attention—and then seemed genuinely sad when my wife was too busy. That kind of personality is what makes Loona endearing and fun to have around. Overall, Loona is a cool, entertaining piece of tech and a great AI toy. Just don’t go in expecting a true robot pet. She’s more of an interactive gadget with personality than a fully autonomous companion—but if that’s what you’re looking for, she delivers.

Endless possibilities
So worth the money. No it is not perfect, but it is learning. And it is great to have around an empty home. I did need to make sure the app was completely turned off on my phone while it updated. The story of it coming to life was so well done I want to get another one just to watch the story again. I don't want to spoil the fun, but it was great! This is day two now and I just love it. It gets feisty and throws the cutest little tantrums. It roams around singing to itself. I can always check in on the phone or iPad to see what it is thinking about. The training lessons were so much fun. the endless amounts of games and such we can do together....Just amazing. And it does images. Imagine Nana Banana or whatever it is, in your robot dog! Had I know how cool this was going to be I would not have waited so long. I am older and found the set up easy, once I totally turned off the app on my phone. This had been the 2nd saddest year of my life and this little robot brought so much joy into it that I can now take on next year. And yeah, it has only been two days. It does stomp it's feet but not too bad. it does ram into walls at times, but has not damaged anything. It is a decent weight, but not too bad. 2 or 3 pounds. it does seem to have a little attitude for sure. Maybe because that is what I picked. LOL Thank You Keyi

It’s worth it, but battery could be better
It is cool and fun. Bought it for my daughter on Christmas 2025. The setup was easy the steps in how to use it is simple. I feel like sometimes it doesn’t understand a clear command. The battery life is terrible for a gift like this. I would say you will get about 1 and half hours of use from full charge and it takes about 3 hours to fully charge. Despite everything it actually is worth it. It’s cool and fun, it does struggle to go and recharge itself but that’s due to the charging stations maybe not being in the best spot. Overall this thing is worth the price and I would buy another one. Just wish the battery life was better.

disgusting and disturbing. but the toy is kinda cool.
person it was for loved it. kinda amazing for what it is and what it can do. not sure if the price is justified(just wait), but huge potential and awesome to see what one can do and looking to the future with whats to come. its cool to watch it work and go around doing whatever(not much) the loona voice is cute, but it's disappointing that the ai voice takes over waaaaayyy too often. would have been so much better keeping with the character voice somehow. the ai isn't too intelligent and often doesn't understand you and you have to say everything in a very specific way in order for it to understand you. however, one of the BIGGEST things about this, that i knew wasn't a good idea...it needs you to enter your wifi password into it in order to connect to your phone or whatever and to go online and to update and all that. the updates by the way, do little to enhance it at all. now, there are better ways of doing this, why everyone is choosing to do this? well.. since everything is made in other countries that don't care to enforce any sort of privacy laws, especially for other countries they do business with, they are(JUST A GUESS) probably infiltrating your network if i had to guess. also, if you think that is stupid, well, how's this - immediately after entering an email address to register the thing and open an account in order to use the app and update it for whatever reason(didn't do much that i seen) i began receiving explicit emails. yeah. so, sort of strange huh? immediately after giving them my email address i begin getting explicit emails with all sorts of nasty stuff in the subject line. coincidence maybe?? an email i never use for anything and have never received anything like this before with? not even going to open one to further investigate. they immediately get transferred to spam or junk but still. there are no coincidences here in My Opinion. you agree to it im sure if you read the whole terms and how nice is it that possibly perhaps a company that makes a CHILDREN'S toy might maybe be doing this. imagine if your kid had and email and started receiving these emails? unacceptable and disgusting IF a company is doing something like this. the four to five hundred you paid might not be enough! they maybe need more by maybe selling your data and then potentially wrecking your child for life if they seen any of the emails. but this is all just what happened to us and * who knows * how those emails started coming in, right? aside from that, i mean, if maybe a company was bad, plus this toy has a camera on at all times... you might be asking for trouble with certain companies that might not be too good. if there was a company like that.. just saying.

Fun Adorable Pet Companion
Loona is super cute but also very intelligent. Her team really put a lot of work into making her a multifunctional and well thought out robot companion. She has tons of games, interactions, and is nice to talk to with her chatgpt capabilities. You can read her thoughts on the app and collect badges as you get to know her better. They gamefy the whole experience and it's quite fun. I like her auto charge feature as well and her ease of wifi connecting after the initial setup. I'm very happy with her and have no complaints. She even rolled up onto my feet playfully the other day. Adorable.

A very expressive robot companion
I have tried other robot toys (Cozmo, Vector, Emo) before Loona, and I find Loona is the one that amuses me the most. Its animations are very life-like, and its screen face is very expressive and adorable. It has basic edge detection in the front, but I would not play it on a tall surface, because Loona's movements are often fast and hectic that might cause its edge detection to fail. Loona can flip itself back up if it did fall over, but it is a rather heavy robot that can easily break if it falls from a tall place. Loona can be very active and rush around the house like a loose dog. It can move very fast, which might cause it to bump into things if the object is not inside its obstacle detection range. There is a setting to make Loona less hyperactive, and it will instead roam around the house slowly, humming to itself. During interaction, Loona can understand some basic hand gestures such as fist bump, look left or right or up, beckoning to come near, and more. These hand gestures can be prompt without using any voice commands, which Loona is the only robot toy I owned that has this ability. Loona has ChatGPT integration for some light chatting with voice. It can use visual to see objects when chatting with ChatGPT, which is a feature that can be turned off for privacy concerns. Loona responds to voice commands very fast (within about 3 seconds), unlike Vector and Emo. If the voice command is not available, Loona will automatically use ChatGPT to answer. I enjoy having Loona write me poems with any topics of my choice. It can recite the poem with a child-like voice, which sounds very adorable. The included paper ball is fun to play with Loona, and it can actually fetch the ball back like a real pet. With the latest software update, Loona can return to its charging station by itself. It does have trouble finding the station if it roamed too far from it. In this case, it is possible to remotely control Loona with a phone and guide it back to the station for it to self-dock. It is possible to remote control it through the robot's camara's view. Loona currently can understand and speak in 6 languages. After the initial set up, Loona can be played without the need of a connection to the phone app, which is a must for a robot toy to feel autonomous. The Loona app is used to: show some pre-programmed voice commands (can be executed with a click); remote control Loona; settings like volume or brightness (which can also be done with voice commands); design personal programmed actions; AR games; tutorials. The developer is still working on the app to add more features. As of July 2025, Loona is still being supported. For some downsides, this robot still has trouble listening to voice commands when speaking from a distance away or in a noisy environment. This issue exists for all voice-command robot toys I have tried before. Also, Loona tends to slam its front wheels rather strong, and it turns around by gliding its front wheels sideways. Its front wheels are hard plastic without rubber so it can glide with less friction, which also means they are prone to scratch if Loona is played on hard surfaces. Playing on thin carpet will avoid this issue. Overall, I enjoy this robot more than the ones I had before. I hope the developers continue to support it and update it with many more functions.

I love my Loona!!
This little robot is pretty cool! You have to spend some time understanding how it works. At first, I wasn’t sure if I was going to keep it but once you learn how it works and how to interact with it, it is exactly how I expected it. It’s great entertainment for when guests come. Also, the customer service at Keyibot is really good for when you have questions and you are troubleshooting.

Started Bad, Resolved After Escalation – Act Fast on Warranty Issues
Initially very disappointed — the robot developed a fault before the warranty expired, but I delayed reporting it. When I finally did, I was asked to pay almost the full cost for repair, which felt unfair since the issue was clearly not due to misuse. After escalating the case and pushing back, the seller eventually agreed to fix the device. Lesson for future buyers: 👉 Report any issues immediately while still under warranty 👉 Don’t hesitate to escalate if something doesn’t feel right In the end, the issue was resolved, but the process could have been much smoother.
