It is absolutely adorable! I actually purchased this because my husband made the remark that he always wanted one as a child. I thought it would be a great Father's Day gift so he could play with this toy with our toddler. It has been a huge hit for both of them. You may want to pull the little pieces if you've got very small children. However, the little car and figures are safe enough and my son has such a great time using the elevator feature. It is both nostalgic and new for our family and is a feature in our home. Simple, but helps build curiosity and fine motor skills for our little one. And who doesn't love a tree as a centerpiece to the scattered toys in the living room? It actually looks like a decoration! I love it!

Not like they used to be
I still have one of these that I had when I was a child 50 years ago. My granddaughter loves playing with it at my house so I bought her one for her birthday. This new one is not the same sturdy quality that mine is. There is no way it will be around in 50 years. She is playing with it while it lasts and loves it!
