Became child again.
My 7 years old son is so fascinated by the science behind everything. Bought this for him but I also read this and it reminds me of my childhood days. Great book to have for every childhood house.

Not just for schools and their exams
I left school several decades ago, but now want to understand life in terms of its science, technology and engineering. School teaching had not worked for me and failed to properly ignite any desire to care about these areas. But now much older, I find looking back (as well as learning about recent developments) both relevant and enlightening. This book was bought with the hope that it would help nurture that maturity. I can report that I constantly refer to this book to learn about the whys and whats of how processes work. It even helps me successfully explain features of the world to 4-5 year olds.

Good information book
It’s very informative however it’s not child friendly which I thought it would be as I baught it for my children.

Must have
Already got the one for maths and English so it seemed a natural progression to get the one on science as well. Easy to follow reference with lots of illustrations and diagrams to illustrate each topic

Extremely Complex Terminology
This book is meant to be for upper key stage 2 and up but the terminology used throughout the book is so complex that it seems more suited to kids doing A level science. My 11 year old has lost all interest.
