hähnel HL-E8 Replacement Li-Ion Battery for Canon LP-E8 - Black

I purchased the battery in Dec 2014, and used it 5x since (charge+use) in my Canon EOS 700D along with the original Canon battery. I cannot tell the difference between this replacement and the original one. It fits both the camera and the charger, the same amount of pictures per charging, same charging times. The stated capacity is the same too. The reason I bought this one instead of other ones: the voltage - 7.2V. As it's the same as of the original battery, the camera's battery level indicator behaves the same way - it shows the discharge level in 4 steps gradually. As Li-ion battery voltage level changes little during discharge, the camera would show a "7.4V noname" battery as fully charged until the very end and then suddenly shut down and show the battery fully discharged. So watch out for the voltage level when buying a replacement battery - what you need is 7.2V. So far I'm happy with this purchase.

I saw many "compatible" batteries, before choosing this one. I chose this as it's also sold by Jessops and have the same mah and voltage levels of the genuine Canon battery.I've used it 3 times now, and it's spot on... Fits the camera and the charger perfectly, charge times and charge last are the same as the Canon.It even comes with the battery cover.

Somehow I trust this brand more then other third party battery producers. It's packed nicely, it has a holographic sticker, they even give you a warranty. The battery itself matches the canon spec's not like other batteries. The only thing is that it's a tad larger then the original, so it doesn't completely fit into charger but still charges fine. And about it's life expectancy, I think it holds up well to the original, giving me almost the same shooting time as canon's battery.

Bought the Hahnel brand as they seem to be supplying good gear. Not disappointed with the battery yet, does what I expected of it. I am an enthusiastic amateur so couldn't justify the cost of a canon original. Charges properly in the canon charger too.I have not tested its performance but I am satisfied with it so far.

This Hahnel version appears to be performing as well as the original Canon battery that came with the camera. The difference, of course, is the price, with the Hahnel coming out much, much cheaper. Does the job at present, but I can't vouch for its long term reliability, because I haven't had it long enough.

I have had this for 2 years and have not noticed any difference with Canon battery

Have already purchased this battery before. Buying extra for upcoming holiday to give me peace of mind that I will have enough battery power to last even the longest of photo shoots.Lasts as long as Canons own battery. Never had any problems with this item. Would recommend to everyone.

Always have loved Hahnel batteries and this one does not disappoint! The battery seems pretty much as good as the canon original and given the price, it was a no brainer.
