Not for the novice
This is , contrary to the opinion of the last reviewer, is a very well written book with excellent quality illustrationsIf you are planning to learn about the basics of most of the procedures included, then I recommend a residency training program! This is a book that shows Dr. Shermak own way of selecting and performing procedures, ASSUMING that you already have a degree of experience in the field,. Even for myself after almost 30 years performing most of the described procedures, I found gems here and there, that certainly are more than worth the price...To give a low rating because your DVD had a problem is incredibly unfair and irresponsible!. We are talking about the book content here Sir. You can dock your rating a star for the DVD issue. As for the price, I am not sure if any of the reviewers has acquired lately any books in the field!. For the quality, content, and comprehensive coverage, this is well within what we expect to pay!.

Expensive!
Very nice pictures, not too much details regarding operative procedures and some time we have the impression of a cut-paste job. Too expensive for what it really apport to your clinical practice.

The DVD doesn't load
The DVD doesn't load although I have a new laptop that is working perfectly well. I tried several computers and programs including windows media player or VLC, none were able to play it. That's disappointing as I bought the book mainly for the DVD.
