Gateron Magnetic Jade Pro Keyboard Switches, Linear Factory Pre-lubed Freely Setting Pre-Travel 20mm Longer Spring Key Switches Only for Magnetic Gaming Keyboard(10PCS)

I recently decided to pick up a hall effect keyboard and was disappointed in the quality of the switches that came with it. I had heard good things about the Jade Pros and decided that I would try swapping them out...and I am so happy that I did. The sound and feel over the stock switches is completely night and day! These switches have a smooth, satisfying feel and a solid round "thock". It has become my favorite keyboard to type on and I will most definitely be putting these switches into any other HE keyboard I decide to build or buy.

The Gateron Jade Pro are touted by most to be the ideal switches to get for your Hall Effect keyboard. This is deserved since the construction and type feel are wonderful. Combined with the closed bottom design which makes for a much better, if clacky, sound profile and you have the switch that is currently to beat. The clear top means that it shines through RGB from your keyboard well for a nice look. The mint bottoms do not alter the RGB too badly. That doesn't mean that it's not without flaws, the cost on these switches is pretty high compared to come other switches means that you are, in some cases paying 1/2 or more the value of the keyboard to replace switches that came with the keyboard already. The aforementioned clack may not be everyone's cup of tea. And then there's the functionality. The Jade Pro are compatible with keyboards like the Wooting, but not others like the Keychron, Glorious, Akko, or Meletrix Boog75 keyboards. The Magnets have the wrong polarity for these, so be aware that you may not bee able to use these switches if you have these types of keyboards.Overall, I recommend these if your keyboard supports them. If you ARE looking for an alternative, the Geon Raw HE does not have a closed bottom, but the sound is comparable and since it has a white bottom there no RGB color shift.

I had never bought a Gateron switch before and I had recently purchased an Aula WIN60 HE magnetic keyboard with some mediocre switches.First off let me say that these are EXPENSIVE but most Gateron switches are so I knew what I was doing. Magnetic switches in particular are pricy and there are very few options for purchase as the trend is fairly new.Price aside, these are some very smooth and nicely built switches as I would expect. The actuation force is on the heavier side which I prefer and they feel great.Now Hall Effect boards tend to not sound so great and the WIN60 was very clacky and loud before I installed these. But the Jade Pro leaves a more muted and notable Thocky clack that isn’t bad depending on the caps you use.I personally recommend these for people who don’t mind getting a budget hot-swap HE board like I did because these are so expensive and really feel like they were meant for gaming.

Feels, and sounds amazing. Love the feel of these. Pro tip, if you go through the box of switches you'll notice a couple switches that are extra lubed, save them for the space bar, itll be a nice edition to the keyboard.

Sound so much better. Used them on the wooting60he, so much more satisfying to bottom out.

Sounds sooooo good would buy again

I purchased these to upgrade my Redragon k617 fizz, but it seems like the magnets do not line up with the receivers on the PCB. This is no fault of the manufacturer, but I wanted to mention this so that you don't end up having to send this kit back. They are very nice and smooth, and have an appropriate amount of lubrication as opposed to other pre-lubed switched that seem to have been dipped in lubricant. It was a shame that these didn't work for me, but again, that's my fault. Make sure to check for compatibility before purchasing these- there aren't many magnetic switches on the market currently, but if these work for you, they're considered to be the best.

I used the original jades in my wooting for over a year. Decided to upgrade to the "pro" variant. Although they are VERY similar, the pros sound slightly better (deeper, more clear). Maybe this has to do with the better factory lubing?The pros need just a touch more pressure to bottom out in my opinion, but have a more responsive rebound. My only gripe is the RGB is worse. The pro switch has a deeper blue green color, which WILL effect your RGB.I wouldn't recommend upgrading from the jades to the pros, but I would choose the pros if they're your first switch from Gateron. They are the best sounding and feeling of all the jade variants in my opinion.
