I have always wanted to try a powder shampoo as I know many with long hair who only wash hair with herbs & water + it is good for scalp to go 100% natural now and then.I tried it as a face wash 1st - it's gritty & feels like a face scrub. I use 3 tsp powder & warm water & mix for 1min. Splash face with warm water 1st then put SIDR on face & rub in circular motions. I left it on my face for 10mins then rinsed with warm water, this is a really strong astringent so couldn't wait 15mins. It felt like a clay mask makes face feel tighter & yes it helps to shrink pores I'd use it once a week & before bedtime also let face air dry and skin feels super smooth - let the mix rest for 5mins before applying on face I forgot to do that on my 1st try - if you have used a CHARCOAL soap it feels similar pulls skin tight to close pores.From this test I knew SIDR really does have saponins but it is not foamy. So I wanted to try it on my hair I was curious as a girl with type3a/b hair said she used it & it left a satin feel on her hair & gave slight volume also after a month washing her hair she got growth & less shedding.SIDR hair wash: I had washed my hair 3 days ago with keratin kit so my hair was not too dirty or oily.1tbsp powder & boiling hot water straight from the kettle mix in a bowl but add water gradually so it looks like yoghurt and not too runny - make sure there are no lumps.Stir for 5mins as you add water then let it rest for 5mins apply mainly on scalp focus on frizzy areas any extra just slide over hair - I let it stay on my head for 10mins then rinsed my hair out 3 times with warm water - to get all bits out maybe comb the wet hair + next time I will sieve the powder before adding water.Once you rinsed out SIDR you need a conditioner then blow dry hair using a silk serum - I've got dry hair so I put 3tbsp argan oil all over my hair & detangled then used about 3tsp of silk serum on top, sectioned hair to blow dry on medium heat. I definitely saw & felt difference my hair was easier to blow dry & quicker also my hair was so smooth no need to flat iron.Like = SIDR does purify scalp & makes hair super smooth must use serum after to blow hair to really see difference ( try to use a silk serum with oils or keratin but no mineral oil so hair stays silky for longer) + SIDR is good for those who have sensitive scalp or don't like dryness from using shikakai powder + if you had a bad hair clay wash or need something to keep hair clean & smooth for longer + good for all hair types especially those with chemical damage or fine hair + the smoothness lasts for 1 month maybe 2 months if you get Brazilian blowdry 3 times a year + less shedding within 3 monthsDislike = when powder is dry it smells like curry but when wet it smells like hay has a farm smell but once you rinse & blow dry the smell is gone + powder is really fine so careful it doesn't go every where (put this into a zip lock foil bag to keep it fresh like I did but tip it out slowly) + takes several rinses ( I still had some in hair when blow drying but this is because I did not sieve powder 1st )Warning may not be safe for you if allergic to LATEX if unsure use it as a face mask 1st like me this will tell you how long you can keep it on skin before it irritates - I say on face & hair 10mins is long enough.I like this very much as I often use ceramide hair mask in every wash to make my hair smooth & all I did was SIDR wash & use a condioner ( mine has coconut & olive oil ) then blow dry with silk serum making sure I oiled scalp 1st and I got super smooth results.I think I might use this to replace my keratin shampoo every other month - results are more obvious if you blow dry hair using a silk serum so if you don't have one buy one.I'll try using this as a shampo for 1 month & see how much growth I get - I always wash weekly or twice a month so if anything improves I'll update you.Great acne treatment though I dont suffer this & best natural shampoo that reduces frizz from the 1st wash - amazing product if you are addicted to blow drying hair try it and see how much easier & softer the hair feels + safe for children 5yrs or older don't waste money on CO-WASH hair cleansers use this powder & hot water instead also no need to flat iron hair afterwards so you reduce heat damage which leads to faster hair growth!If you use lots of hair products or thick oils wash hair with warm water twice then use SIDR paste - it is a gentle cleanser & works best if the oils have been rinsed off also do not use shampoo before SIDR it is safe to use SIDR on its own to replace shampoo
