Dell Latitude E6410 14.1" Core i5 160GB Windows Professional 32bit Notebook

Several weeks ago I bought a refurbished Dell E6410 from Tampa Laptops. My objective was to buy an inexpensive machine running Windows 7 that would do a better job of running some of my more demanding tasks that were a burden on my older Vista machine. The Dell machine I received from Tampa Laptops did exactly that. It was fast, quiet and powerful. However, it did have one problem. It would crash about two times out of three on a shutdown or a reboot. Support at Tampa Laptops worked with me by phone and email for about a week to try to resolve the problem. Finally they decided to have me return it at their expense. They emailed a shipping label, so the process could not have been easier. They found a problem with the power board, so they sent me a second machine with my original disk with all its settings intact. The second machine is fine. It is clean, runs well, and the battery has lots of power. I highly recommend Tampa Laptops.

There are certain used laptops that buyers give rave reviews. This one deserves that classification. It's light, the casing is reinforced with high quality metallic elements. Though a business model, it has aesthetic appeal-- nice lines, easy functioning keyboard. The core i5 with 4GB RAM does fine for multitasking and video creation or viewing. The matte screen resolution is 1200 by 1600, so the screen is sharp and crisp. All that, and lightweight! Easy to carry. Vendor sold with Win 7 32 bit re-install disk. AFAIK Dell is the only manufacturer to produce these. Other manufacturers tell you make your own re-install disks (before any other use of the unit)! I would buy another in a heartbeat.

The laptop I recieved is in very nice condition, with only tiny marks where the screen frame touches the base when it's closed, and just a few small scuffs on the back side of the screen. The keyboard, screen and touch pad appear dearly new. It came with a 250 gig HDD. I installed a SSD, and everything inside was clean and dust free. The sticker on the keyboard says i3, but it does have an i5, so I guess either that piece of plastic was replaced, or the proccessor. So far it works perfectly. Very good packaging, with lots of bubble wrap inside 3 boxes. I haven't run it much on the battery yet, so I'm not sure yet what condition It's in, but it will be plugged in most of the time anyway.

After I received item I discovered there was no webcam....not a deal breaker, but disappointed. Contacted seller who offered refund & was very helpful in explaining that I needed to buy an external webcam for computer....the problem is apparently in how Amazon lists items such as computers & others. Apparently they make sellers lump similar computers into one large heading (which Amazon really,really needs to rethink). I thought I WAS getting an internal webcam because that is what was listed in general heading. Later I found out that I did not read the fine print in the actual specs....so shame on me I guess! It seems to b a great refurbished computer for the $$....it is heavy/sturdy, has Windows 7 (which was another consideration as 8 sucks), DVD and 320 gig which makes it fairly fast. No manual comes with it, but seller responded that I could download one from Dell. Also,keyboard does not light up. Overall a nice buy....just read specs b4 u buy!

I have no doubt that this is a fine computer model - it worked very well for the brief time I was able to try it out after receiving it last January. However by the time I went to use it for a work assignment in September, it wouldn't even start Windows. Instead I keep getting an error message which has not resolved itself despite several attempts. This seems highly umusual for a product that waa supposedly refurbished to original manufacturer's standards. I sent a complaint to Link Tronics about it, which Amazon received a copy of, but to this date, several weeks later, I have nothing back ftom NEITHER firm. I am extremely upset with this apparent RIP OFF!

Item arrived earlier than scheduled. Was well wrapped and packaged snugly in USPS box. Battery was fully charged out of the box (a nice touch!). Computer has been well maintained, screen and keyboard had been cleaned thoroughly prior to shipment. Upon starting, the laptop booted Windows 7 and was ready to use in less than 30 seconds. This laptop has exactly the specifications that we needed to run a dedicated instrument for science research. Excellent value for the money. Would definitely buy from this seller again.

This laptop arrived with a faulty battery pack. The only way it would stay on is if it were plugged in constantly. I could deal with that issue; the laptop was for my daughter, who could not, unfortunately. So we replaced the battery pack when it finally got to the point where even being plugged into a power source wasn't quite doing it. That was, by the way, less than a month after purchasing said laptop, but long enough that we were out of any sort of warranty.Now, replacing a battery pack is no big deal. Having the motherboard blow out less than three months after purchasing said laptop, to the point where even the computer repair shop told us we got ripped off? That's a much bigger deal. Very, very disappointed with that. They said the thing would cost more to fix than I paid for it initially, and suggested I just get a cheap new one from Wal Mart, because at least there I'd have some sort of warranty in case the thing decided to die three months after purchasing.Not that I used the laptop for anything strenuous. Not that it got used much at all, really; photoshop was installed and my daughter, a college student studying graphic design, pretty much used the laptop for completing projects and going on tumblr. There was no illicit downloading, there was no treating the thing badly, there was just a very poorly put together laptop passed off as something halfway decently refurbished.So very disappointed. Would not recommend anyone purchasing from them again.

rebuilt or recertified - I thnk it was off lease and so missing some key things like webcam and bluetooth. pretty poor build in general not at all like the 6410 I was replacing. STay away from these things - the savings are not worth it

The computer was ready to go as soon as I opened the package easy for beginnersPros: the i5 CPU is great if you use a laptop for general usethe computer can be upgraded/ serviced easily4GB ram is more than enough for general usehas 4 usb ports most laptops out there don't have that many:Cons the cpu temps of this machine were quite high reaching up to 69 celcius during general use (cpu usage was at 13 %) however this is probably because the fan was set to only turn on at intervals if you want the cpu temperature to be lower then it can be changed in BIOS settingsSpeed: while this computer is already fast you can make it faster by upgrading the hard drive to a Solid state drive and then you can either continue using windows or replace windows with a more lightweight operating system like linux

The computer came in very good condition. The power Pack charges the Battery very well. All required programs work very well. The only thing I didn't get is the Software key, in case I decide to upgrade to a solid state drive. Everything else works very well.

I had a couple issues with this computer but thanks to really excellent customer service the problems no longer exist. The statistics said it would be 4gb and 160gb HDD - actually its 3gb and 230gb HDD. Also the optical drive is read / write not read only. Very pleased with the backlit keyboard. I expect to get many years of service from this laptop.

The pixels were not very good , the port where you plug the charger into the laptop didn't fit .. I returned it within five days
