S'well Ice Bucket with Tongs, 68 oz, Angel Food

Good,works, but smaller than expected

I've liked a lot of things from this brand, and this ice bucket didn't disappoint. It seems to be very solid and well insulated, kept ice from melting for a good long time. Included tongs are easy to grip and easy to hold in the hand, and do a good job with lifting various size pieces of ice. The price point in this is on the higher side given the brand name, there are lots of other buckets that provide comparable functions. It's easy enough to clean and dried quick

I tested this ice bucket by filling it with ice and monitoring it. Presently I am going on 48 hours and of course a lot of the ice has melted but there is still a lot of the ice in the bucket. What I noticed in this test was it does start to melt from the top because the top isn’t insulated and there is the tong hole. ( and I was opening it and checking on it). Anyway, as the ice melts, it kind of gets stuck together and you have to break it up with the tongs. Realistically you are probably not going to leave the ice bucket for days on end. This is definitely a high end ice bucket that functions exceptionally well and would be great outside on a hot day or inside on your buffet table. It does not condensate and make a mess on your table. The ice bucket has a nice clean substantial look to it; the thick insulated walls are impressive and I like the shiny white exterior. I also like the tongs and the tong slot. The size of the bucket is perfect because it is not overly huge and does not take up a lot of table space. It potentially could be used for other things besides ice, like homemade ice cream or sorbet. S’well makes exceptional products that I have used before and this ice bucket lives up to their reputation and I would definitely purchase this again. At the current price point I would say this is a good value if you are in need of an attractive, well functioning ice bucket.

This ice bucket is very nice looking with a solid white exterior, shiny Stainless Steel interior, lid and tongs. I like how the lid has a cutout for the tongs to sit in. The only drawback is that it’s a small size ice bucket (think the mini hotel room size), so as long as you are aware of that and it suits your needs I would definitely recommend it. Planning to use it to put some fancy round ice cubes in for an upcoming party and it should work well for that purpose. You might be able to just barely fit one wine bottle in it with some small sized ice cubes. Quality of the product is decent, with good insulation to keep ice from melting too quickly.

I got the S'well Ice Bucket with Tongs in Angel Food color. It's nice and looks stylish. The ice bucket is a good size, holds a lot of ice. The tongs are handy too. But the lid doesn't fit very tight, so the ice melts faster than I wanted. It's still a nice ice bucket for parties, but wish the lid fit better.
