Does what it needs to!
Cheap doesn't always mean bad. I stuck my earphones in this case (adhesive pad to keep it from slipping off) and forgot about it! It fits snugly over the case and doesn't add too much to the volume nor does it add to thew weight. Non slip so not much risk of it slipping away. Decent quality overall and, as mentioned, not crazy expensive.

Excellent for the price. Will keep the case in good condition/scratch free for small falls. Will add some bulk. USB C charger point can be fiddly to open without nails but small price to pay
