I purchased two of these kits under the impression they were designed for rock tumbling. However, after attempting to use them, it is clear that these machines are actually industrial metal burnishers rebranded as "DIY Stone Making Kits." They are fundamentally unsuitable for polishing rocks for several reasons: 1. Excessive Speed & No Control Rock tumbling requires a slow, steady rotation over several weeks. These machines have no speed control and run far too fast. Instead of the rocks gently sliding over one another to grind down, the high RPM causes them to crash against each other, bruising the stones rather than polishing them. 2. Poor Build Quality & Alignment Issues Even when placed on a perfectly level surface, the barrels run out of centre. This misalignment causes the rubber barrel to rub constantly against the machine’s chassis. Not only is this noisy, but it also creates a significant amount of black rubber dust that coats the machine and the surrounding area. 3. Drive System Failure The drive system appears to be under-engineered for the weight of a 3LB (1.4kg) load of stone. Under normal usage, the belt pulley wheel broke, forcing me to contact the seller for a replacement. The strain of a full barrel seems to be more than the plastic components and drive belt can realistically handle. Final Verdict If you are looking to clean metal parts or burnish jewellery quickly, this might suffice. However, as a rock tumbler, it is a total failure. It is too fast, poorly aligned, and lack the durability required for the weeks-long tumbling process. Save your money and invest in a dedicated, low-speed rotary rock tumbler instead.

This is a lovely little machine and the best value for money I can find on Amazon. It arrived on time but I was out so it was delivered the next day however the seller was proactive in contacting me to make sure I was informed and fully catered for. They have a superb attitude to customer relations and customer satisfaction. The machine comes two types of fine polish. Metal polish I think, an adaptor for a 3, point plug, and a charger, I have crystals in the barrel however it's still pretty quiet and is polishing the crystals well. I would absolutely recommend this tumbler and the seller.

Do not buy Not able to give no stars so one star it is First of there is no instructions whatsoever The uk plug adapter supplied is not safe and does not meet current safety standards Didn't work when first operated, motor insecure and drive belt was off pully wheels the motor mount badly bent The holes for the motor mount are not in the correct position and requires new ones drilled before the unit can be reassembled If required to return the item to China would cost more than item cost

Don't bother after 2 days the belt broke motor was thrown out of alignment and because it happened during the night I didn't see it until the next morning and it had burnt the motor. Off could smell it as soon as I went into the garage sorry to say rubbish

I have used these tumblers before and love them. Great product. An absolute bargain.
