Toppik Hair Building Fibres Powder, Medium Brown, 55g Bottle - for A Thicker-looking Hairline, Crown and Beard, Instant Thinning Concealer for Men and Women ​

These fibers have absolutely changed my life. I have been using these for 4 years, and honestly can't imagine having lived without them since I started going bald. I found these on a youtube video and initially purchased them pretty sceptical about it. However, after application, and the fact I couldn't notice the different between the fibers and my own hair, I was instantly hooked. For the last 4 years I have maintained a full head of hair, every day, despite having now lost about 70% of coverage from the top of my head. I have, luckily, managed to keep a decent spread of thin hair across my head, which is essential for it to work, as Toppik cannot work where there is no hair at all, although there are a few exceptions* *At the very corners of my hair, I have nothing left. Because these are only small areas, and are surrounded with hair on 3 other sides, the Toppik will hold, as long as it is not disturbed (so no hats, hoods, or scratching). This sounds like a massive pain in the backside, but you soon adapt and hardly notice the changes you're making to essentially maintain a great looking hairline. I have tried competitors - having used fibers for so long I can't be blamed for looking elsewhere. However, I always come back to Toppik - the quality of the fibers is unbeatable. A few tips - 1) definitely buy the spray applicator. It will give you better accuracy and a more convincing look. Sometimes the quality of the applicator isn't great, and this really lets Toppik down! But I've managed to get one on the third attempt that works perfectly. 2) Buy the 12g size first to try it out. Buy it with the applicator. Once you try it, and love it, KEEP the empty 12g bottle. Move on to buying the larger bottles, and use these as refill packs. I still use my old 12g bottle, from years ago, as the actual applicator. It is the perfect size to grip and hold while you use it on your head. The larger bottles are more fidgity. I just pour the fibers from the larger bottles in to the 12g one. 3) Only half fill the 12g one when filling it back up. The about of fibers released thereafter will be less intense and more realistic. If you use the container filled up to the top, you will give a thicker covering which sounds great in principle, but once you start using it you'll understand its actually better to use less, in a more controlled fashion to provide the more realistic look. Finally, have a look at the pictures. I AM now finally going for a transplant in a couple of weeks, as I have saved enough now to do this. But definitely, I know I'll still use this to thicken my new hair further post-op. I've attached pictures with and without. The results speak for themselves.

Really quite remarkable product. Does what it says, exactly as it says. Produces a little bit of dust but not a problem. Easy to watch demo’s on You Tube only to find that the product doesn’t quite live up to the demo but this one really does. Takes a little bit of practice to get it just right but once you have developed the technique that suits you, it’s really quite quick and easy. It is quite expensive but I expect one to last two months so it’s not really that bad. As long as you have ‘some hair’ a fine covering or just a few strand this will product will do a brilliant and lasting cover up. Wind and rain seem to have no effect (you need to use a light spray of ANY hairspray). Difference to your appearance is amazing.

This is a very good solution for those trying to cover annoying patches where hair is starting to disappear into the ether and scalp is becoming ever more apparent. I've tried a number of these different fibre types over the past few years and my conclusions come out as this: NANOGEN: Quite fine powder, and reasonably expensive, but not great on coverage (quite a lot needed to cover, especially if hair as gone from the area, as powder sticks to existing follicles). Colour seems darker than that stated on pack e.g. medium brown more like a very dark brown, which can look obvious. Lasts well overall (approx 6 weeks with regular use). TOPPIK (this product): Around the same price point as Nanogen, but better on coverage, and colour more natural. Again lasts approx 6 weeks. SUPERMILLIONS: Slightly cheaper than both of the above, colour is okay, and coverage is very good. However powder is heavier than the others listed and seems to 'cling' to the scalp in clumps, which can be very obvious close up. I think in terms of coverage and natural colour, Toppik is probably my personal hair fibre of choice. A final tip is that you probably need to use a light hairspray or the fibre hold spray to ensure the powder sticks better and doesn't blow / wash away too easily.

I buy this every 5 weeks or so for the last 18 months to cover up a thinning crown. It's a good product, that does thicken hair - I'd say between 20-30% perhaps not as much as 40% but it's noticeable. It's debatable whether it runs in rain or not, and it's not great in wind, if you use hairspray it does help. If you use the right amount (not too much) and don't expect perfect results you will not be dissapointed. I'm always buying from essential products online now, as they nearly always deliver slightly earlier than stated on the order page - they have never let me down. I really wish I had found this product sooner. I have been suffering from extreme thinning and hair loss for the last couple of years and it has really dented my confidence. I thought I would try this out and if it does not help then at least I have not spent a small fortune. The day it arrived I tried it out immediately and stood in the mirror saying WOW several times! The next morning I caught myself in the mirror and had to stand and stare at my hair. I can finally tie up my hair without people staring and my exposed scalp. This has given me such a confidence boost and I am so happy to have found such a great product. It is quick and easy to apply and stays in place well. One happy customer here!

if you have fine hair which shows your scalp, making it look even finer, this is a great job. Its not for a bald head, the fine fibers are interspersed with the hair close to scalp, it covers the paleness of the scalp, this is my second purchase of toppik, my other one is not finished but is almost done, I would hate to be without it now, it gives me more confidance its not a cure but a lot of people have commented how much thicker my hair looks, it an optical illusion. I'm a female in my mid 40's and this has been the best product i have used to make my hair look thicker. i would recomend to anyone with fine hair, where their scalp is showing through a bit.there is a smaller one it you wanted to try it. the way i work it is, when i have styled my hair i part the hair at the scalp gentley and dust a bit of toppik betweent these partings i do this all over the top of my head it could just be done were your parting is also.if your unsure at first try to work with it for a few days. give it a try

Why oh why didn't 't I hear about this before! I have been miserable with thinning across the front of my otherwise nice thick brown hair for years. Bought wigs, fringe attachments, all sorts, nothing looked right. Read about Toppik, didn't believe it but tried a small pot in desperation. It surpassed all expectation. My hair looks full, natural, all thinning has vanished, it stays put (I just used a fine spray of ordinary hairspray after applying it) no marks on pillow case, just washes out with shampoo. Reapply, takes all of a minute and off you go. My friends all thought I had a new wig and didn't believe me when I said it was all mine plus Toppik. No-one seems to have heard of it, why don't hairdressers have this stuff. I have got my confidence back and have just bought the larger tub as you get more for your money. I have never been so pleased with any product and have never written a review. This is truly amazing!
