Incredibly easy to use microwave that looks good, door locks with a press of button on door handle!
Wonderful microwave. Super easy to use. Love the door lock that you must press in for it to open. YOu dont have to worry about a child simply opening it and spilling something hot....this microwave looks good, works great, easy to use. It is just the perfect size. Not too small and not too big! Buy it!

Wow - I'm impressed.
Wow - I'm impressed. Some background so you know we're I'm coming from: Our Tappen digital microwave from 1993 finally died - if only all my appliances had this sort of life! It was a 1000 watts with a turntable, but nothing fancy beyond that. For 32 years it served us well but one of the high-powered diodes died. Time to replace it. We didn't want a convection oven microwave combo, we already have a great convection oven. But I did want a microwave that used Inverter technology and had a few additional sensors. For me, it came down to a Panasonic or the Toshiba. They had nearly identical features, stats, and comparable dimensions. The deciding factor was the door handle - we wanted a door with a real handle, not one of the "push-button, pop open" doors. The Toshiba fit all criteria. The model we chose was the Toshiba ML-EM45PIT In black stainless trim. 1250 watts, inverter technology, temperature AND humidity sensors and several built-in cooking algorithms. This thing is practically silent. The first time we fired it up with a mug of water we both worried that we'd received a defective unit. But, in 20 seconds we had a steaming mug of water. It worked. Our second test was a medium-sized potato. For this I just pierced the skin a few times, placed it on a small ceramic plate and simply pressed the "potato" button. It didn't ask the size, it just put some numbers on the screen and the moisture sensor indicator lit up. In four minutes that oven stopped, I left the potato alone in the oven for another minute with the microwave off, then took it out. It was as close to great as I've ever seen from a microwave. No burning, perfectly cooked with only one tiny dry area. 9 out of 10 - I pressed one button and the microwave did the rest; the result was good. Next up was microwave popcorn. We don't eat it much, but I was in an experimenting mood. The oven has a popcorn button, you press it once for 1.75 oz size, twice for 3.0 oz size, and a third time for a larger size that I don't remember. Of course, ours was 2.5 oz and didn't fit any of those choices. So I selected the 3.0 oz size and figured I'd stop the oven when the popping stops. That ended up being 2 minutes - the popcorn was perfect with only 3 unpopped kernels and no burning whatsoever. I was impressed. 7 out of 10, nice job - but I did have to stop it myself. My last experiment was reheating a plate of food - leftovers. The big size comes into it's own here; it easily fits a large dinner plate. The oven has a sensor-driven "reheat" button that uses a temperature sensor to automatically adjust the cooktime and power. The manual says not to open the oven part way or it will throw off the temperature sensor ...so I didn't. I just let the oven do it's thing. The plate came out pretty good, all of the food was reheated, even without stirring or futzing - though some parts were not as hot as I would have liked. Another 10 seconds on high fixed that problem. 8 out of 10, the automatic setting was impressive, but I like my food very hot. Overall I'm impressed. The intelligent features and sensors are very nice and do a fairly good job - but they are not perfect. The inverter claims to be more even heat, that seems to be the case - but remember, my point of reference was a 32-year-old microwave. Still, it does appear to cook evenly. Appearance is subjective but I like the dark stainless. The real door handle is a winner for me... I hate those push-button doors. It's powerful! that 1250 watts shines when you want to heat water in very little time. Operationally - the thing is practically silent. Normally you hear fans, or a motor turning the turntable, but you really have to strain to hear those things with this Toshiba. Honestly, it's the biggest talking point in my house is how nearly silent it is. I guess our life just isn't that interesting! Recommend the Toshiba, and I do recommend the inverter technology. I can see a difference. UPDATE 4-November-2025: Now we've had this Toshiba ML-EM45PIT for about a month and a half. I have to say, we still love it. HOWEVER, this thing is powerful... maybe too powerful. We've learned there are very few things we can actually cook on high for amount of time without it absolutely irradiating it. It's not a bad, we simply select 80 or 90% power and things cook very well. But whenever any packaged food calls for xx-minutes on "High", we adjust it for the same amount of time on 80 or 90% power to get good results. The defrost feature is adequate, but nothing more. The oven is still super-quiet, it still amazes us how quiet this thing is ...it's spooky. Nevertheless - still recommended. It's a great microwave.

Good unit.
Had this about a year now, like it a lot. I was coming from a much larger and more powerful Panasonic microwave that gave out after 10+ years, so I was a bit worried about the difference in size and capability with this Toshiba, but it's performed very well and having less power actually hasn't been a negative at all, it's easier to not torch your food while reheating. It's relatively quiet, all the functions work like they should, it looks nice (especially for the price,) and I love the feature that allows you to silence the beeping when programming or when the timer hits zero, which frankly should be an option on every microwave.

Generally good.
Reasonable size. Good controls. Easy to use door. Wish I could just set time to zero instead of a separate timer. I used my old microwave for timing and could set it for multiple periods, and then prepare the food to cook. But this one has a separate kitchen timer mode that only allows a single period and returns to time of day if I don’t start the timer soon enough.

Compact, Stylish, and Easy to Use
I’m really pleased with this Toshiba microwave. It’s the perfect size for a small kitchen without taking up too much counter space, but it still has enough room to handle everyday meals and leftovers with ease. It heats food evenly, runs quietly, and the 6 auto menus make it simple to use. One feature I really appreciate is the mute function, which is great if you don’t want loud beeping sounds all the time. The LED lighting is also a nice touch, and the black stainless steel finish gives it a clean, modern look. The removable turntable makes cleaning easy, which is always a plus. For a 0.9 cu. ft. microwave, it delivers solid performance at 900W and does exactly what I need it to do. Overall, this is a great microwave for anyone looking for something compact, stylish, and reliable.

DO NOT BUY THIS HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE microwave. You will REGRET it!!!
Horrible, horrible microwave oven. I'm writing this in 2026. I've used and owned microwaves for over 45 years. Logic would dictate that microwave design would improve and features would only get better after almost 50 years of international use and consumer input. INSTEAD, this is literally the WORST microwave I have ever owned (or even used, i.e. at work, at friends, etc.). I paid almost TWO hundred dollars for this. If this was just a 30 dollar pair of slippers that I didn't like I'd just take the loss and throw them away and not waste my time or your time reviewing them. But this was an expensive enough purchase where I'm going to have to dread using it everyday for several years until I can take the frustration no longer and I will upgrade to a REAL microwave and I will personally drive this one to the dump, stand in the bed of my truck and fling it out into the stench and out of my misery forever!!! I could go on for hours about how horrible this microwave is. Instead, I'll just concentrate on THREE awful, indefensible features. FIRST - There is a child safety lock on door of this microwave. While I understand that the US government now demands child safety locks on ALL microwaves, if you do your research, you'll find that many (most?) of these appliances have a method of disabling the lock. I'm an old man, who lives by myself with ZERO children living with me. There is absolutely NO reason for me to have a child safety lock on the door. On the other hand, I'm a pretty big guy and fairly strong. So the danger for me isn't a child opening the door ... it's me pulling the door open (and due to me not having to worry about it for almost 50 years), and pulling this 30 pound fragile electronic appliance OFF the counter and having it land on my much more precious, much more fragile bare feet!!! SECOND - In my almost 50 years of having a microwave, the designers have wisely incorporated ONE TOUCH COOK buttons for 1 thru 6 minutes. The only thing better than that is if they expanded this range from 1 thru 9 minutes. Instead, bizarrely, the designers of this particular unit have REDUCED the utility by only having the ONE TOUCH COOK buttons for 1 thru 3 minutes. Baffling that after almost 1/2 century, we're actually going BACKWARD in innovation. THIRD - Finally, and this is the most horrific aspect of this particular microwave ... Due to some weird button sensitivity issue, it takes between 3 to 7 presses of each button to get them to recognize the input. I thought, with my rather large hands, that it must be me and that I must be doing something wrong. But, NO, I've had several friends over and I had them 'test drive' the buttons and they ran into the same problem. Also, I've found that the buttons on the left side of the keypad are much more susceptible to requiring multiple pushes for the keys to respond, than the right side. NIGHTMARE SCENARIO --- With my last GOOD microwave, when I wanted to cook something for 4 minutes it was literally; - Place the item in the unit, close the door, press the 4 button once, wait til cooked, open the door, enjoy eating. With this HORRIFICALLY BAD microwave, the exact same theoretical scene plays out as: - Place the item in the unit, really firmly close the door (because of the nuisance child safety lock), press the Cook Time button (FAIL), press the Cook Time button again (SUCCESS), Press the 4 button (FAIL), Press the 4 button again (FAIL), Press the 4 button again (FAIL), Press the 4 button again (SUCCESS), Press the 0 button (FAIL), Press the 0 button again (FAIL), Press the 0 button again (FAIL), Press the 0 button again (SUCCESS), now, for the last 0 of the 4:00 quest ... Press the 0 button again (FAIL), Press the 0 button again (FAIL), Press the 0 button again (SUCCESS), however, due to its sensitivity, the unit felt like you pushed the last 0 button too successfully, so it thinks you want to nuke your meal for 40:00 minutes, instead of 4:00. There is no way to undo this or to go back, so you have to cancel it and start over again. The best part is, it takes THREE button presses on the CANCEL button, at this point I think that I'm just being mocked by the microwave ... THEN you literally have to do the whole procedure again, button by resisting button. Then, the chef's kiss, when you finally do everything successfully and the microwave beeps, indicating that your 4 minute entrée is finally ready after around 10 minutes of dread, if you're forgetful like me, but really strong like me, you'll forget, while opening the door, that there is now a newfangled child safety lock and the door won't open, but the force of your pull instead pulls the entire microwave unit over the counter and your heart stops temporarily as you grab it with both arms to keep it from falling off the kitchen counter! It's a wonderful life!

Fantastic microwave
I bought this microwave to replace a very old microwave that had issues. My old microwave's keypad was failing and the paint on the inside was badly rotting away. So it was time to buy a new microwave. I also purchased a microwave plate cover to protect this new microwave from splatter. The splatter is what caused my old microwave's paint to chip away. If you have food splatter (like pasta sauce) inside the microwave, then you turn the microwave on. You'll cook the paint job. Over time the paint will start to chip away. So i bought this plate cover and so far it's keeping the microwave clean: (i included a photo of the plate cover inside the microwave) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KVK337M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Pros: - Cooking - It cooks really well. I was surprised to find out this cooks a bit better than my old microwave. Seems to cook more evenly. Cooks just as fast as my old microwave (similar wattage) My old microwave: 1,000 watts This Toshiba: 1,100 watts - Touch pad (East To Use) - Nice simple touch pad. It works well. Lots of quick touch options. The "One touch start" is great, press 1 for 1 minute, 2 for 2 minutes, etc... good for older people. Not complicated to figure out. - Instruction Label - It has a label on the inside the microwave with info / instructions for cooking different things (defrost, melt, popcorn, etc) so you have that info available to you anytime. - Noise Level (Cooking noise) - It does make noise like all microwaves do but the noise it makes is actually pretty quiet. Much more quiet than my old microwave. The noise it makes is an odd buzzing noise when you turn it on to cook. At first i thought that buzzing noise it was making was a bad sign but that's just the noise it makes. Not an issue. Just a new sound to a different microwave. - Keypad Beep noise - You can turn off the beep noise of the keypad. I turned it off to test it, it works. But i turned it back on just because i then realized i enjoy hearing the beep noise feedback. - Child safety - There is a safety option, at first i thought if i activate it, it would prevent the door from opening but that's not how it works. If you activate it, you can still open the door. But the microwave won't function until you turn off the lock via the keypad. A little lock icon will appear on the LCD screen to let you know it's locked. So after every time you finish using the microwave you will have to turn the lock option on. When you want to use it, turn lock option off. If you have kids it might be worth the extra steps to lock / unlock it, otherwise it's not worth using. - Microwave color - It looks stylish. Especially if you have black / chrome around the kitchen. It's also fine with white also. Cons: - The stainless steel on the door is a "finger print magnet". If you touch it, it will create smear marks. The handle has the chrome also. (i included a photo of that) - Color options - One thing i noticed when trying to buy a microwave. The color options are very limited. I do wish this microwave had more color options. I originally was hoping to get a 100% white microwave or at least get this same color microwave but have the black be in the color of white or even 100% silver but it's not an option. It's fine though. It still looks pretty good. - Clock - Not really a huge complaint, but if you unplug the microwave, the clock gets reset automatically. I think this is an issue with all microwaves. Would be nice if it could save the time when not plugged in. Because if you accidentally unplug it, then you have to set the time again. Summary: I haven't fully tested ALL the cooking features. But for basic everyday use of quickly heating / cooking things, it works well, cooks well. Great microwave. Worth spending money on as it's an investment that should last for many years.

Great and no inverter to die faster, this should last a long time, GROK says so.
Had it a month and so far worked great. GROK recommended this model because it doesn't have an INVERTER which case I have read horror stories of those going out, especially in my old Panasonic 1200 watt microwave. GROK said this one should last a while :) which is why I got it and for the last month i have had it, has worked well, no issues. It is slightly smaller in size than my old Panasonic 1.2 and the wattage is 1,000 so allow more cook time by a few extra seconds on things. Otherwise it seems great so far. Door function is fine, not an issue. Color is good, Installation is straight forward, find a spot, add the dish inside and then plug it in. Set clock and we're good to go. Seems stability is good, this was a good replacement for my old unit. The noise level is quiet.

Great Product, Even Greater Seller!
I absolutely love this 8-in-1 Combi Microwave! A common issue with other combo microwaves is that they’re underpowered—but not this one. You can adjust the temperature to fit your needs, which makes a big difference. Just make sure to read the instructions before using it so you’re not caught off guard. Enjoy! ***The seller, Rose_Range, has been amazing. I had some difficulties with a different seller regarding a separate order, and things got a little confusing during a chat with an Amazon Associate. Even though Rose_Range had nothing to do with that situation, they still stepped in and helped—something they weren’t obligated to do at all. Their support was incredibly thoughtful and above-and-beyond. It’s easily the best customer service I’ve had on Amazon. If you’re considering buying from them, don’t hesitate—they truly care about their customers and it shows.***

Fantastic, and NO BEEPING SOUNDS
I was going through my past orders and didn't realize I hadn't reviewed this yet, which is crazy because I feel like evangelizing about it, I love it that much. I've had this oven for 3 years now, and I couldn't possibly be happier with it. It functions well, it's really easy to use and clean, and best of all NO BEEPING. The silent operation of this oven is its best feature and the primary reason I ordered it. I know most people are probably happy to operate it with the beeping sounds, but if having the option to silence all beeping sounds is as essential to you as it was to me then this is your oven. Once in awhile when the power goes out I'll have to reset the silent mode when I reset the clock, but other than that I never hear any beeping from it whatsoever. Not when the buttons are pressed, not when the cooking cycle is done. I've seen some reviews saying it's loud when cooking, but it's no louder than any other microwave - I don't know what these people are talking about. All microwaves make some noise when cooking.
