This was my second Asus router in as many weeks. The first was faulty and crashed every few hours. Returned. This one (a different model) appeared at first to be OK, but then managed to reduce the speed of connections to a crawl, independent of signal strength or the WAN speed (1 gig up and down). No errors in the log. Both were returned and I would NOT recommend Asus routers based on my experience.

Ho utilizzato il sistema ASUS ZenWiFi BT8 come nodo principale in una rete domestica WiFi 7, attratto soprattutto dalla tripla banda, dalle porte 2,5 Gbps e dalla promessa di integrazione AiMesh con altri dispositivi ASUS. Dal punto di vista qualitativo e prestazionale non ho nulla da dire: copertura ampia, velocità stabili e gestione molto semplice tramite app. Anche le funzioni di sicurezza e parental control sono ben integrate e utili nell’uso quotidiano. Il problema è emerso nel momento in cui ho provato a integrarlo in una rete AiMesh mista con prodotti ASUS ROG. Sebbene la compatibilità sia dichiarata, nella pratica ho riscontrato latenze evidenti e alcune disconnessioni, soprattutto sotto carico. L’integrazione avviene, ma non è fluida come ci si aspetterebbe restando nello stesso ecosistema. Per questo motivo ho deciso di effettuare il reso, non per una mancanza di qualità del prodotto, ma per una compatibilità non ancora completamente matura in scenari AiMesh eterogenei. Consigliato senza riserve se usato come sistema ZenWiFi standalone o con nodi compatibili della stessa linea. Da valutare con attenzione se si possiedono già router ROG.
