Nice but won’t last long
The media could not be loaded. Buttery soft, super comfortable leather, but they feel like they won’t last very long. They have a bonded leather feel. NEVER, I repeat NEVER wear them into a body of water. They will absorb the water, take days and days to dry, and they’ll shrink very badly. The snaps don’t stay snapped, and the zippers sometimes have trouble functioning. All in all, I like them but wouldn’t buy them again.

The fit and softness compare to my custom $900 boots
I was in a tack shop recently looking for half chaps. I walked past a boot display and touched a pair of tuffrider boots and was surprised at the softness. So I put them on, not at all expecting them to fit like a glove or to be tuffrider brand. I have a wider calf and small ankles so I never have a great fit at the ankles. ( the ones at the tack shop were the field boot) I zipped them up and it was like they were truly made for me. I'm 5'2" and about 160lbs. The height was perfect allowing for some drop with use. I loved them so much I went online to find another pair and all I could find were dress boots. So I bought these and they also fit perfectly. I was surprised that the two different styles fit so perfectly. I've only had them about 1 month so I dont know how long they will last but so far they look like new even after walking around in the arena and riding. The leather is butter soft but supportive. I bought the regular calf. It's pretty snug but I can zip it without too much trouble over skinny Jean's or breeches.

Very large in the calf
I purchased these boots as a pair of backups to use for riding at home to extend the life of my show boots. They definitely resemble the Parlanti boots and they are the first knockoff I've seen of the brand, however the materials are somewhat cheap (though they are real leather). Nevertheless these boots look flashy and are excellent for the price EXCEPT that the calf sizing is way off (I'm 5'8, 145 lbs and my calf measures 14.5) I ordered the Slim and they are so loose on me I can get my whole hand in on the outside while fully zipped. I'm going to return for an XSlim, which makes me think these boots won't work for you if you have very thin calves and are around the same height as me. The shoe length is true to size. Curious to see how they hold up whilst riding since many reviewers have noted zipper problems; mine zipped up easily but maybe that's because they were so loose. The toe is quite round and does look a little silly so I may switch to the Tuffrider regal line which has a square toe.

Nice boots but on the larger side
These are really nice boots... My only complain is that they really run big un calf área. I mesured my calfs according to TuffRiders sizing chat, and my calfs are 14.5 inches which is Regular, so i ordered size 8 regular width. When I tried them on they appeared to be loose in the calf area even with breeches and socks. But I will leave them for every day riding, and later buy another TuffRiders pair in different style for showing :) Great quality for the price.

Fantastic out of the box and ride boot. Size 9.5 fits more like a 9 and that worked for me
I love these boots. I got them as emergency when my TuffRider piaff boots came in and I could not zip them up. They showed up on a tuesday, I left for the show Friday afternoon and prime guaranteed delivery. These boots literally came down the drive, got thrown in the trailer and traveled 4hrs before I could try them on. They came out of the box perfect, went on the foot and zipped right up. Next day I went down centerline in a second level test on a young stallion and never have my boots a second thought. The 9.5 foot bed fits more like a 9 but I like that as it's more the size i needed but couldn't be picky. I will be getting another pair in the regular calf as after an injury one calf is larger and the smaller calf has some scrunching on it but they still look and feel great. The other bit I would like to say is that this seller is amazing. I buy from them quite often and they have great customer service.

Keepers
These boots were skin tight in the ankle and calf when I received them, but after wearing them around the house for a few short 15 minute stints, I can tell that they will ultimately fit me like a glove. The boots offer quite a bit of ankle support which I need and like. The leather is thin but good quality, almost like a half chap feel but all in one boot. I personally would not classify this boot as a "dress boot" so much because they are too structured and the leather is pebbled, but I am keeping them because I think they will help me while I am in the saddle.

Absolutely awful. Spare yourself.
The leather part from the ball of the feet all the way back to behind the heels “hangs” on the sides of the sole and has no shape. It seems the top of the boots, where your foot goes, is significantly wider than the sole. These are also ridiculously uncomfortable because of this, as your foot slides left and right over the edge of the sole of the boot. And they are painted with latex paint on the inside, a weird shade of bright green, so you’ll walk around smelling like a freshly painted wall. The zipper and buttons are super low quality.

the boot has beautiful lines, a classic look and once I tried ...
So. I am not giving these 5 stars solely because I have not ridden in them yet (just received them last night). As soon as I took them out of the box, I was excited to feel how soft the "leather" really is. Now, I do not believe this is 100% leather.. but if it is, it's a very thin scive of the hid so I worry a little about wearing out. Either way, they are soft, the boot has beautiful lines, a classic look and once I tried them on, I was surprised to see how much room was in them. Now the calf and ankle area is a little on the larger side but with actual breeches and not riding tights, they should be fine. I am showing in two weeks with these so I am anxious to see how they do. These are actually replacing my Ariat Heritage boots, so I have high hopes... but for the price, you can't beat these. Have had TuffRider winter boots for years and loooooove them!
