I had the same issue of peeling paint after two weeks. Killed one of my fish.

Didn’t have this long and the paint peeled.. looks great at first glance, however does not do well in an aquarium.

DO NOT BUY. DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. I JUST REALLY LIKED THE WAY THE OCTOPUS LOOKED. Unfortunately it looks nothing like it does on the picture listed. I received mine with the paint practically all splashed on it just very tacky looking very cheap and I’m not going to be caught dead wearing that terrible replica of a octopus in my fish aquarium. I honestly feel bad for those of you that did purchase this and had put it in your aquarium and those of you that had done this and some of you lost fish because of the paint that flaked off after a period time. Some people wouldn’t be so nice as not only would they give you a one star review as I’m doing but if i know people that would sue people thousands of dollars if they lost a fish because of this terribly made aquarium decoration. Oh my God kept telling me to look at the reviews for some reason after I had already received my octopus had I not listen I would’ve put this thing in my aquarium and I wish that I had looked at the reviews before I bought it even though it was only 8 something dollars and change, It’s not even about that it’s the principle and if I could talk to the people that made this thing personally I would tell them to quit their job. Don’t buy this ever always be careful with what you have in your aquarium listen to the people that have a one star reviews they know they’re saying. good day to you amazonians and best of luck in the future.

The size is great, however beeing in the tank made the paint flake and peel off. So now there is sadness in my kids heart. So now we are looking for a new one with hope the paint won't peel.

Only been in my tank for 2 weeks and the paint is already beginning to flake off.

This is an update to my prior review. The Artistry was great until the paint started chipping off. Loved the item but it's not holding up well as they described. Bought 2 other pieces that are still doing well. This one was my favorite. Disappointed.

Looks great in tank I really love it but you get an air bubble in the head of the octopus that makes it float a bit. Only slightly off the gravel... My fish likes to get under and hide inside.

Do not use in your aquarium. Paint coming off in less than a week.
