Great quality boots for surf fishing
Much better than expected. True to size. Lot of wiggle room, which is good when walking the soft beach sand. Good traction in the surf when fishing so the wave action doesn’t knock you down! Zipper closes very well and stays closed - Dunno what those negative reviews were about. Keeps my feet warm in the surf, paired with neoprene pants.

These are really heavy duty - but size a bit small
I got a pair and sadly had to return them due to being a bit too small for my feet. They were comfy on my left foot and the zipper is covered by neoprene on the inside. Since I don't have time to get another pair before I need them, i just sent them back and will look at them again in the future should the need arise.

They run BIG!
I wear a size 10 in most all things footwear, but not here. Definitely not here, as these beautiful wading boots run a full size large (if not a bit larger) in my experience. No way to make them work, even if I wanted to add a waterproof insert sole and accompanied with a heavy wading sock, these are oversized and sloppy as 10s. Insert flyer says to call Frogg Toggs before returning, so that’s what I’ve done (after hours, left a message). Let’s hope they’ll be able to do the size swap for me. Otherwise, first impressions the boots are a value! Thick, durable cleated sole. The 5mm neoprene upper is soft, comfortable and the zipper is decent (although I have concerns how it’ll manage with some sand fit). The top rubber toe looks ready to deal with the stones and shell of a wet wade. I’ll come back and update once I resolve the issues of them being to large. Recommend, go a full size smaller for a proper fit.

too big
Much larger than advertised size. Apparently my earlier review wasn't published. It was less complementary than this one.

To fit with frog tog stocking waders go a size up.
I bought a size up to fit while i wear stocking waders. I have frog tog chest waders. being neoprene these are not like wading boots for trout fishing rocky streams. I dont think they will last that long doing that but at half price and the fact i do surf fish i bought a pair.

Tough!!
These are “water shoes” on steroids! In SWFL we have a lot of oyster beds, barnacles and other sharp stuff in the estuary waters. I have had my feet cut way too many times, and most water shoes do not hold up to the abuse for more than one or two outings. These are such a huge improvement. It’s like combat boots for the water. Great fit, support, traction, and protection. I don’t even see any marks on the soles yet. Love these.

Worked perfect for Hawaii shore fishin
Walking out on coral is risky and these shoes made it so much more comfortable.
