I added this to my home office! I hate the overhead lights and prefer natural light but in the instances I need just a little extra this is perfect. It adjusts in brightness, and has so many cool options!

My main criteria for this lamp was that I should be able to place it up on the laptop stand that I've got my laptop sitting on and that it should be highly flexible in how I can position it because I also do some painting at my desk and would like to extend the lamp so that it illuminates a painting I've sometimes got on an easel at my desk. The photos show the lamp's flexibility. (No comments on my artwork are needed!) You can see that the base of the lamp is narrow so it's easy to position on the laptop stand and the lighting fixture itself is long so that it fully illuminates the laptop or the painting. I'm totally happy with the lamp's adjustability. In addition the lamp's got lots of adjustments to lighting intensity and quality though I normally just use a couple of settings. This lamp is giving me exactly what I need for a reasonable price, and it seems like a sturdy lamp.

Hokey smoke, I was hoping this would help with eye strain, but I never expected the immediate improvement this made over my previous lamp! Previously, I was using a desk lamp with a 75W Phillips LED bulb, one of their better ones with a very high CRI. Don't remember the exact number, but it was about the best CRI I could find in a regular Edison base lightbulb. I thought I was doing pretty good, but I was noticing significant eye strain within a span of even a few minutes. It was tolerable, but wasn't great for working with small scale dexterous work (electronics soldering, watch repair, etc.). I finally had enough of it and figured I'd try this lamp instead. A little better CRI than what I had, but not much. But wow! Immediate noticeable improvement in eye strain. Didn't even get a hint of eye strain for probably 300-400% of the time I would have with the old lamp. It makes an enormous difference. I don't know if it's the CRI, the fact that it's less of a point source and thus has softer shadows and fewer specular reflections off of the work, or a combination. But I'm rather shocked at the difference.

I decided to replace my old IKEA clip lamp with this one, and I'm impressed with its modern look and how sturdy it feels. The arm and head adjust smoothly and hold their position well. The main reason I bought this lamp was for the "Sunturalux 2835 full-spectrum LED beads," and the light quality is fantastic. It's bright and easy on the eyes, making it great for reading and working. However, there is a very annoying, audible clicking sound when you adjust the arm or even touch it slightly. It sounds like something is loose inside the material. While the light is excellent, this clicking sound is a noticeable and unexpected issue.

This has become my all-time favorite desk lamp. It's expensive when compared to the many others that are available, and that higher cost will no doubt make a person wonder if the investment is worth it. But it's simply a great ergonomic lamp with many useful settings including a great night mode. It's not too big nor too small. It takes up room on the desk top, but is not intrusive.

The lamp looks nice and the lighting is good and what was expected. However, the 3 star rating is related to the quality. In less than two years from the purchase the lamp has failed to turn on at least three times. Eventually, it does start working again, but this is annoying--especially for $70 led lamp.
