GREAT bookcase, Great Price
GREAT bookcase. Easy to put together but it will take you some time and lots of screwing in bolts. Really worth it as the Book case is sturdy, spacy and looks great. I may buy another. I assembled it myself but better if you have some one else to help.

Beautiful, functional, and well built. Easy to assemble.
This is a beautiful, functional, and well built shelf. I actually like this better than my more expensive wooden shelf cabinet with glass door. Husband reports he found the cabinet easy to put together, and it looks nice and modern in my living room. It will be easy to clean and maintain due to being painted metal. I also like that it can be locked if needed.

High Quality when not Damaged
I purchased 4 of these a month ago, and finally got around to building the last one.TL; DR. I'm very pleased with this purchase. They are a lot of metal and heft for the money. These will last forever. However, they're not perfect, and you should not be surprised if you get dent-and-ding items which show significant scratches and dents, even if the package arrives with zero signs of damage.First, beware of the weight. These are quite heavy due to the glass, which is thick yet very high quality. You may need help moving these to your build location. Also, you should built it near where you want to set it, if you have the room. With that said, the doors are the heaviest part, and you could 100% build the unit completely, without installing the shelves and doors, and them move it and install those once set in place. You don't want to level the feet until it's in the final location anyway.Overall, these pieces are well engineered for fairly rapid construction. The instructions, while not really needed for somebody who has done a lot of assembly and is mechanically inclined, are very clear. If you have a powered screwdriver or drill, and a large open workspace, you can build a unit in 40m. My first unit took 1h 5m, and the last one 40m. That was working alone. There is high consistency in the overall packaging, and the package designer hit a home run here. This is EXCEEDINGLY well packed to mitigate damage. Every metal and glass surface is protected from the other surfaces with a thin sheet of foam. Hardboard on the sides. Thick styrofoam and metal endcaps. These boxes can take a serious hit with low risk of damage. The hardware provided is high quality, and in abundance. Each unit had exactly the same number of extra pieces of hardware. The manufacturer thought ensure that a few extra pieces of hardware were provided for commonly lost pieces which can fall out, such as the plastic glass retainers, and the spring-loaded rod which serves as the top of the door hinges. The instructions even go so far as to note that these pieces may fall out, and if they are missing, to get them from the hardware packet. Bravo. In my case, I was indeed missing 1 of the spring-loaded hinge rod, and 2 glass retainers. If the extra rod not been included, I wouldn't have been able to complete the build. Again, BRAVO.Now for the complaints...I applaud the designers for providing a way to level the feat without lifting the unit, but it needs a bit of additional engineering to make it simpler to use. A cylindrical sleeve installed between the hole and the foot screw top would make it MUCH easier to guide a screwdriver to is hidden home. The fact that you can't see what you are trying to turn combined with the fact that it's an open void makes it more annoying that it should be.Honestly, I would rather have acrylic plexiglass than glass windows. That would easily have 10 to 15 pounds off of the unit, if not more. Plexiglass is also more resistant to breakage, but not scratching. I would also think the price could be lowered a fair bit of acrylic plexiglass were used. There are display curious for sale in this price range which have far more acrylic glass than this has glass, for the same or less money. Finally, acrylic would prevent sun damage of items inside, whereas glass would not. I strongly recommend to offer a separate item with acrylic. It will be easier for one person to move and manage due to weighing a lot less, it will cost less (or sell for the same with higher profit margins), and will be better suited for collectibles. Finally, now for the big one: there is no doubt in my mind that already scratched and dented items were shipped to me. All four boxes arrived pristine and unopened (no previous cut tape, etc). Yet, one of the side panels and top panels on one of the units has substantial scratches. Another unit had a corner to the bottom cross member which was significantly bent; bent enough to prevent installation. So, that's 2 out of 4 that arrived with 1 or more damaged pieces. Yikes.Fortunately, with a vice and vice-grips I was easily able to fix the corner to complete the build of one damaged unit, and the cabinet top and side are hidden of the other unit are hidden view, so the scratches don't bother me.There is NO WAY these items were damaged in transit. The surrounded packing material was 100% intact. No, these were damaged when they were packaged. Which means that either- The manufacturer has low quality control and these damaged pieces were simply missed- The manufacturer has low quality standards and these pieces were deemed acceptable- The manufacturer is repacking returns and shipping back out to cut their lossesI don't know which one is the case, but none of them are acceptable. Again, it is IMPOSSIBLE that these items were damaged in shipping. The boxes had virtually no dings, and the surrounding packing materials were totally pristine. They were damaged when packaged. How that happened is unknown. But it happened.Another complaint: communication. Though I did not have to seek customer assistance to complete my assembly, I did email them (three times) to ask how I could purchase shelves separately. Crickets. Not a single reply. That's a bit disconcerting. What if I had an issue preventing me from assembling? Now, with all that said, why am I giving 4 stars? Simple: VALUE. While there were issues, I was able to quickly and easily work around the issues, I was able to complete the assembly on my own, and at the end of the day even though they have some scratches and dents, they're not visible for my case as I hvae the units ganged together to form a wall, and I was able to place the damaged unit on the inside. Only I know the scratches are there. For ~ $600 for 4 units, this is a MASSIVE amount of high quality, heavy duty storage. The price is right, even taking into account the issues, which for me weren't a big deal. For you, they may be.Finally, I would love to get a response on how to purchase additional shelves.

Easy to put together and look great!
Love, love, love! Great value for money. Came in perfect condition, no dings or scraps and packed really well! My son put together easily. If putting together by yourself, I recommend doing near along vacant wall to hold sides in place while securing. Very sturdy and has everything I could ask for….down to magnets to hold doors closed. I highly recommend!

Great cabinet for the price!
This is a great bargain. You do have to mostly assemble it, which is part of the low price, but the product is well packed, has good instructions, extra parts and even provides you with a screwdriver to use for assembly. All screws are Philips head so no need to change screwdriver types ant anny point and no need for wrenches. They provide spare screws and other small parts just in case. The parts mostly fit together well, and screw holes and interlocking parts go together well and are well-aligned in most cases.Warning: the shipped box is very heavy and about 6 feet long, so plan for help if you need it to handle and unbox. Same thing for assembly- some of the parts must be aligned as you install screws and are large enough that some people may have trouble handling them, so again, plan for help if you need it.It comes with pre-assembled lock, so great for a display cabinet that you can keep kids out of. Looks sturdy enough to hold pretty heavy items if needed, and it comes with some wall anchors and two holes in the back of the cabinet if you wish to anchor it to the wall, but if you have that need, I recommend you find better third party anchors to use.Overall an excellent product for the price! If I had room for it I would buy a second one.
