Mr. Popper's Penguins

This is the first time I have read this book. I read it to my kids in the classroom and they loved it. The book is fun, caring, funny, and exciting. I actually love the book better than the movie. This book is great for all ages.

Just as I remembere from my childhood! Delightful to read to children although thankfully we all agreed the ending was pathetic and we prefer more for our family.

I read this book to my students every year. They really enjoy it and it is very funny - way better than the movie. I bought it for my neice and she loves it. Great price!

Book is in great shape!

I really liked this book. It had very good language and some times it made me want to laugh. It was good at making you want to keep reading. The author did a really good job at explaining the characters. It was also very descriptive. Mr. Popper had to take care of his family and twelve penguins. He wasn't getting paid that much so it was even harder. Mrs. Popper didn't like the idea of having any penguins but she realized that the penguins were very sweet. Although it was very hard to keep the penguins under control and take care of them the Poppers got through it. I would definitely recommend this book to other people. I'm not surprised that this is a Newberry award winning book because it is so great.
