Great kicks for workouts
I love these new kicks manufactured with the highest quality materials and plenty of room in the toolbox for my feet. My feet are on the flatter side. They have had plenty of comfort, traction, and have been terrific so far supporting my feet on long runs or on the treadmill. The only shortcoming is that the tongue Narrows a tad towards the toe box but this does not compromise the quality of the shoe. It is holding up well, looks great and it's perfect for my multipurpose need when I work out.

Hopefully isolated incident
I love the shoes, they fit great and look good and are very comfortable. I wore these shoes 1 day after I got them and did a HIIT workout, lower body with sled pushes, box jumps and a lot of squats. The sole of the right shoe had started to separate from the shoe about halfway (25 min) into the workout. I contacted Altra customer service only to be told we are sorry they didn’t workout and I could return them ( as if that was new information). I contacted them before I wrote this review and I let them know I wanted to talk to them before I write the review. Other than that I love the shoe as I know many people at my gym that have them and love them with no issues. I received these shoes 30 Mar 2025 and worked out in them 31 March 2025.

Altra is Back Baby!
Honestly, I have been through so many shoes! My FOMO for shoes is at an all time high. These shoes are the best for the gym. I immediately returned my Nike MetCons once I slipped these bad boys on. They grip well, they are wide, and can handle squats/deadlifts with ease. Best benefit, you can walk/jog/run in these and they are comfortable. Thank you Altra

My second pair!
They fit, look, and feel great. They're a little more grey than you can tell from the images, but still dark enough to almost be black. Perfect!

Tennis Player - Solid Shoe
When I first played tennis in the Altra XT 1, I moved better than I ever had before. The ability to feel the ground through my feet was unparalleled in that shoe, and it was so light I felt like I was floating. The XT2 came next, and it was alright. It was heavier and clunkier than the XT 1, but also more durable, which was a reasonable trade-off for a sport played on concrete. The XT2 was still lighter and swifter than all the other tennis shoes on the market, which was great. The XT 3 is heavier and thicker still. With each generation, connection to the ground is getting slightly worse, and the shoe resembles other market shoes more and more. However, it’s still a good shoe.Critically, all generations of Altra XT, including the XT3, have allowed me to play with my toe spacers in. I've dealt with toe and heel issues in the past, and playing in Altras with toes pacers has completely healed them. My toes feel absolutely nothing anymore, and my heels and plantar fascia are completely healthy as well. I can easily slide on clay, and the shoes allow sliding on hard-court, I just don't because I don't trust myself. In fact, the slightly bulkier, thicker XT3’s are the best hard-court sliding shoes of the entire line.Durability with the XT 3 is similar to the XT 2, perhaps marginally better. Like with every tennis shoe, the right toe-box is the first to go, but these lasted at least a few months before that happened. Realistically, they aren’t going to last more than 2 months if you’re playing 8+ hours/week, but unfortunately that’s just par for the course.Sizing wise, I dropped down from 11 to 10.5 with these. I actually think these have a slightly better natural foot shape than the XT2, which is why my feet feel better fit dropping down to 10.5.4 stars. Would be 5 stars if they had a more flexible sole, were lighter, or lasted 3+ months instead of 1-2 depending on play intensity.

They're not black but dark grey
I love the brand and all 4 different design pairs of the shoes that I currently own. I have to say be cautious of ordering black shoes because I've order these and the Escalante 4 in black and both have come in dark grey. I still love them. They just don't know their colors.

Disappointing highly padded squishy old man shoe
If you took the XT2's and optimized them for old men they'd be the XT3's

Snug / Lower foot volume
Only wore them around the house. Overall volume seems low compared to my Lone Peak 7s in the same size (10). Returning to try a larger size.
