Temper expectations and the box performs admirably
6W base TDP. 4 efficiency cores. Single channel memory. If you actually understand what that means, then you know what the limits of this machine are. If that didn't make any sense to you, then to sum it up in a word: Netbook.Look, you know that slightly tech illiterate person in your family or friend group? The one that just wants the PC "to work right" and that's it? This box has enough useful performance that they likely won't notice better until they start trying to create content or play a game. This machine does everyday tasks easily with little fuss. Email and office apps? No problem. A couple browser tabs? no problem. Watching HD content or even 4k? Fan might be audible, but works just fine.Note about that fan: The intake is on the bottom and the little feet don't give it much air. Prop it up on something, even a few toy blocks works wonders. The Turbo power state (PL1 and PL2) lets it run at 15W at 3.6GHz for a short burst IF the cooling can keep up. Per the screenshot, mine on light use bounces between 1.2GHz and 2.2GHz until I propped it up and it now spends any active time at 2GHz-2.5GHz. Idle clocks in a 600MHz and less power draw than my phone charger. Now the rough part... if you try firing up a game locally expect to drop the resolution to 720p or less and set every graphics option low to get to playable frame rates. Fortnite on Performance Mode, DOTA 2 on low, and GTA V on low, all play acceptably at a lowered resolution. Minecraft too maybe, but I don't have it to test. However, there's a twist: This box works VERY well as a game streaming device. I tested using Steam Remote Play to stream a few titles and after some network hiccups I can't complain about the performance. My particular setup required hardwiring either the main gaming box or the Firebat box for consistency, but I also have a wireless network cobbled together in 2014-2015. A remote service like Luna I haven't tested.

"Just" a basic N100 build, but absolutely solid.
Picked this up to use as a small-capacity server for general use. Very no frills, but I don't need frills. I just need something reliable, unobtrusive, and hopefully quiet and nimble for it's size. Ships with Windows 11 but I installed Debian 12.This implementation of a basic N100 device is pretty good. Single core stress hits the 3.4GHz advertising, multi-core hits 3 across all 4 cores. 24 degrees ambient, single core maxed at 51 degrees and all 4 maxed at 59 degrees. My hearing isn't spectacular and while I could hear the fan, it was so faint that I had to really silence everything else around me and try to focus in on it.The size of the T8 is pretty amazing, too. You get a lot in the small space. It's close to a five star, but not quite. My reasons for only four stars:1. Instructions and boot screen do not indicate how to enter BIOS. It's F2, by the way. But it took a few tries with Del, then F12, to make it there. And each time wasted my time to booting to Windows 11.2. Have to set the memory to 4800 manually. I mean, if the machine is spec'd for it, just do it!3. No way to change the memory allocated to the integrated video. This is going to be a server, so I would have liked to set this to the lowest option.4. Putting "PCIe" next to SSD on the title is meant to mislead. The SSD is using a SATA M.2 interface. Also it seems the price keeps bouncing around with a coupon to match, so it feels like Firebat is playing games.5. Hard to open. Some day I might want to swap out the storage or clean out a fan, and I'm dreading it.

Firebat is on fire with this little sparkplug
Great little PC. I am using it for astrophotography. Works well. I use it in conjunction with a router/hotspot. I am not disappointed by Firebat’s performance. Just wish it utilized WiFi 6.

120Hz video out - Excellent Value, Limited Support
If the 7840HS is available for the same money, skip this one. Otherwise, an excellent value. Do not expect BIOS or driver updates, but there is a version 1 BIOS upgrade available. See reddit 7840HS teardown
