All the sizes are covered and the little brushes are a good addition. However, even though I have successfully cleaned several orifices with this kit, I've personally never fully cleared a gummed up carb unless I use all three weapons: 1) A set like this. 2) Carb cleaner spray. 3) Real compressed air 100psi (not air in a can).Pro tips: 1) Always treat all your small engine fuel with Sea Foam. 2) Heavily treat your fuel with Sea Foam and run for 15min, so it gets into the carb before you store your small engine machines. 3) Turn off your fuel valve and run the engine until it stops running due to no fuel in the carb. This reduces the amount of residual fuel in the carb during storage. 4) Only buy fuel in small quantities, near the time you'll be storing your devices, this way you can run the tank empty, so the gas doesn't go bad. 5) I personally use my old fuel to get bon fires going, I'll tag the can "old gas". 6) Replace fuel filters at the beginning of every season. For instance, my generator had no filter, so I added a good steel one from NAPA. I write the date on it and replace it every year. $6/year and worth every penny. If you follow these tips, you'll never need to clean a carb! Oh, one more thing, it's usually about the same price to replace a carb for a small engine, than it is to buy a rebuild kit.

This is a useful set of cleaning wires and needles because of the many sizes. However, by their very thin diameters they are rather delicate and would bend if much force were applied while using them. Still, be careful not to widen the jets on your carburetor by getting too aggressive with these wires/needles. The brushes have soft nylon bristles that are probably fine for light cleaning inside tubes and hoses in combination with a spray carburetor cleaner, but aren't really stiff enough to "scrub" anything. I tried using them to clean some corrosion off electrical connector blades in combination with a spray contact cleaner, but they were too light duty. The folding case that holds the lightest wires is super light weight, but is adequate. Overall, I think this was a good purchase. I can't see spending more for a set that does essentially the same thing.

Purchased these to clean and maintain some carburetors and the gas jets on the stove, and this kit has the sizes and a variety of cleaning needles most suitable. All of the needles and brushes a of very good quality and should last for a long time. Very impressed by the overall quality of all the tools, in that they don't seem to flex much at when a bit more aggressive cleaning is necessary with all the needles, and the bristles do not shred. I also find the nylon brushes to be very good for cleaning electronic components and keep the kit in a little plastic tray on the bench.Overall very pleased with this purchase, and can highly recommend this kit.

I work on the 400 acre Burlington Island N.J. doing 5 miles of trails with many gas powered older donated equipment that over the years and winters the carbs. get clogged or just go bad. It is good to have these handy carb. clean out tools in your kit to fix these problems before buying a new carb if needed.
