Did the job!
I happened to buy this before a trip to Tuscany x 2 weeks I wasn't sure I would need it but as it turned out, there were no laundry services in the tiny hamlets that I visited. I was able to wash a pair of jeans, cotton tshirts, undies/pajamas. I used detergent sheets as I was traveling carry on size luggage only. I filled, got the excess air out, and put it on the ground and agitated it with my feet for a bit, then rinsed the items in the bag and then squeezed the clothing dry with a towel and hung out my items. it was definitely less messier than sink washing. And, surprisingly, it worked well, definitely was better than using hotel soap and hand scrubbing (which I have done before many a time in the past). I actually felt like I got my underthings clean instead of only slightly less stinky. I will travel with this in the future, definitely handy when laundry is too expensive or not available where you are! I do think important to fill to the line otherwise you do risk leaking, but when following directions, no leaking issues. it is expensive for a plastic bag, but, considering that washing a pair of pants in Italy via hotel service could be 12-15euros each it ends up being economical (not that I had that option this time around). It also, especially if you are just interested in washing underclothes, nice as you could do a bunch of underthings in one bag and be done with it instead of trying to hand scrub several pairs.

Works really well!
This is perfect for socks, underwear, thin tanks, and bras while traveling. The only reason I knocked it down to four stars was that I like to put things back into boxes and it doesn’t quite go back in for storage purposes. A couple of tips: use sink wash detergent packages - I can’t believe how well the two combined for dirt out of my daughter’s socks. Also, do it over the sink if you have access to one. I read a few comments that it leaks when you open the valve. I had that a couple of times but it was only because I overfilled the bag.

An Absolute Must For Travelers Who Need to Wash
I debated on this size or the original Scrubba and chose the Allurette mainly because of weight. I have ultra sensitive skin so I cannot use laundry services when I travel and I have to use my own laundry soap. This will work perfectly when I’m gone for 3 weeks doing carryon only. I can wash two short sleeve shirts in “one load”, 2 pairs of leggings in “one load” and 6 pair of underwear in “one load”. It gets my clothes clean and is much better than washing in the sink. It’s important to know that when you roll the bag down to snap it, you roll it down away from you as opposed to toward you. It you roll it down toward you, snap it and then release the air, when you begin to “wash”, water will leak out of the handle. If you roll it down away from you, snap it, release the air and “wash”, it will not leak. I’m very happy with this purchase and it will pay for itself very quickly.

No dyes and accommodates essentials
Larger than expected. This does not have dyes on the product, much like the "untouched" scrubba. Packs down pretty small, for back packers it might be better if folded once to reduce bulk. Arrived in a very compact cardboard box with instructions. I love how the bag has the directions listed, as well as folding instructions to prevent leakage.

High hopes, but let down by leaky valve
I had high hopes for this bag based on the reviews, however after the first use it started leaking. At first I thought it was user error, so I tried again rolling the closure an extra time. That’s when I discovered the water was actually escaping from the valve area. The seal between the valve and the bag was either so weak it broke upon first usage or it was never sealed to begin with. This is such a great idea for traveling, if only it didn’t leak!

Bag arrived with broken seal
I love the concept of this wash bag, but it arrived with the seal broken around the top of the bag. It doesn't seem particularly durable. I still really want a wash bag for upcoming travel, so I order the regular Scrubba bag, which I noticed in some reviews might be more durable. The bag arrived and it does look a bit more sturdy with the seals around the top of the bag. But it is much larger than my needs for travel. So, I ordered the mini one...fingers crossed.

Better than the sink
This makes me realize how spoiled I am ;). Traveling through Italy and I’ve used it twice so far. It’s fine for just a couple of pieces. You still have to pull out and rinse the clothes. It’s way to messy to run water in the bag to rinse. I’ll keep traveling with it for just a pair of pants and a shirt or 2 that I want to wear more than once. Buy it. It will pay for itself at least once.

Better than sink washing
I just took this on a 10 day vacation staying in lodges at several National Parks. Every few days we would wash several pair of socks and underwear using the Allurette. It works so much easier than sink washing and really gets the clothes clean. I have used the larger Scrubba on many trips and I now prefer this model. The material is more flexible and the re-design of the air valve makes it simpler to use. The smaller size fits flat in the lid pocket of my carryon suitcase. After washing, rinsing and wringing the clothes, I roll them in a travel towel to squeeze out more moisture, then hang the clothes to dry overnight. They are dry by the morning. Having such a good hand washing system allows me to travel for several weeks in a carry-on sized suitcase.
