The Wonder of Guadalupe: The Origin and Cult of the Miraculous Image of the Blessed Virgin in Mexico

I have a collection of Guadalupe books and have traveled and studied in Mexico gathering information on my own. This one of the best books to give the average or even the more serious person an informed overview the Guadalupe events. I have used this book to teach theology in a Catholic institution. The book is a good read, holds interest, and it is a good length.

The story is marvelous one of humanity’s history. See the conquest of the Aztec empire and its conversion. The Lady of Guadalupe has a relationship of the important naval Battle of Lepanto. Note the scientific evidence. Eisenstein saw that atoms are not the bottom of proof - LIFE is here. God created our lives!

I found this book, based on very thorough research, to be an excellent read. I learned much more than I "believed" I knew about this miraculous event. This book has citations to other research, which has helped me to further my own research. The language is presented in layman's terms and is powerfully moving for such a short read.

This is one of the greatest books written on modern miracles that show proof that there is a living God and he has sent his only son to earth through the Blessed Virgin Mary to try and lead us toward God. This is my third copy and I will always treasure the book.

The story is thorough and interesting, with much indication of the times. I appreciated all the scientific research presented. I only would like an update, as the book was written a while ago.

This was factual, respectful, direct and to the point. It laid the history of Our Lady of Guadalupe out beautifully in a very simple, understandable way. I found out so much about the wonderful story of this aspect of my faith that I had never known. Thank you! It brought me closer to the Blessed Mother.

well written and interesting

The history of Guadalupe is given very clearly. From The barbaric times of paganism in Mexico, we are led to Juan Diego, a humble peasant, in his experience of the miraculous apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We get the Catholic Church's responses throughout decades of studies, testimonies, etc. If one is A believer in the divine plan of God, this book gives tremendous hope. Mostly because these apparitions were almost 500 years ago, the image of Guadalupe is still very real and authentic and millions are still visiting, admiring, scientifically studying, etc., the wonder of these events.

Awe inspiring book recounting the story of the miraculous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Totally baffles science!
