Digital Optical Coax to Analog Stereo Audio L/R Converter Adapter with Optical Cable RCA Cable

This dongle serves my needs and makes my unorthodox setup and simple as I can allow it. Trying to run your PC’s audio through the HDMI to the TV that has an optical out but no 3.5 mm output so you can play all your audio through a 1980’s stereo receiver that’s pushing the best $100 bookshelf speakers you could find on Amazon? GET. THIS. LITTLE. BOX. This is as simple as it gets. I searched for HDMI selectors that also had this functionality, but I couldn’t find one that had the specs or price I wanted, so I copped this guy and I’ll get an HDMI switcher to use as well some other time. This one also runs sufficient on the power supply of the USB port on the TV. No need for another thing plugged into the power strip that’s probably got way too much stuff plugged into it already anyway. I HAVE CREATED A MONSTER!!!

I have is installed at all my customer locations with TVs. I've never had any issues with them. I've been using them for over five years now. Excellent product work perfectly every time very easy to install. I would recommend these to anyone.

Purchased. Hooked up. Everything seemed ok but could not get to work. Tried to contact seller with no success. Started return process. Went to purchase another and found information to adjust setting on my tv and it worked.

Perfect, go ahead and buy one that's more expensive!? The DAC in this one is clean and perfect across all frequencies.

As great as LG OLED televisions are, there are not as many inputs as there are creative ideas to use hi-fi equipment. Case in point is my superb audiophile Boston Acoustics subwoofer. This converter utilizes the television Optical Audio jack. Connect the optical cable running from the TV into the converter and then standard RCA audio cables to your powered subwoofer or speakers. It’s a great way to combine the built in sound on better modern televisions with added bass always lacking even on the best TVs. Now I don’t have to bother with an AV receiver when all we really need is better, balanced sound. In my case, the adjustable crossover dial built into the powered sub does its job to balance the sound between the television speakers and the subwoofer.

Worthless with Samsung TV, it has a very LOUD constant cracking sound using Netflix, Youtube TV, etc. on any of the built-in apps, I can't hear the tv at all. However, I hooked a computer up to the same TV's HDMI port, and the sound worked great via the TV. It may work for you, but not for my setup. I cannot recommend this product if you have a Samsung TV, Buy it with caution!!! FYI, No volume adjustment via TV remote. It's being returned.

Can be used to plug your headphones into any TV supporting Optical audio. So.. most of them. (Note: Poor build quality, but I don't care. It's been working for several months.) Tip: Connect it to the input to an Audio interface, plug your headphones into the output. Make it so the interface only plays what the interface is recording and Bam! You can now control the volume as well.

Great performance for the price! Using it to play sound from a new tv through my older Sansui stereo receiver, sounds great! The audio output of this converter is clear and sounds very good, from watching tv to playing hifi music with the Tidal tv app.

It is good but not easy set up as you require a few connectors. The system is good and the bluetooth is easy to connect.

Works exactly as advertised. Good value for the moey.
