I thought that the taste of a malted had been lost to mechanized food machines, fortunately, I was wrong; the malt still exists and my taste buds are happy.

I love malt flavor. I’ve been trying to lose a little weight and the protein drinks don’t always taste so good, so I add a little of this to make them actually enjoyable. I also add powdered collagen and it makes the drink pretty filling. My husband is not trying to lose weight so he sticks with a good old fashion malted milkshake.

I am SO HAPPY I bought this product. The flavor is EXACTLY what you're looking for to get that classic malt flavor in the background of your culinary projects. It's not bitter. It's not bland. It has that sweet malt infusion that you get in a malted milk shake, or waffles at a classic diner. I have tried other brands and they all tasted bland. They just didn't get it. This malt powder inserts just the right flavor, and it satisfies. Other malt powders I've tried made me think I had made a mistake because I simply couldn't taste the sweet malt flavor I was looking for. With this product, you can add this to any recipe where you want to bring it home with that secret nostalgic malt flavor that some of us have come to appreciate. Add it to cookies, biscuits, pancakes, waffles, and milkshakes. Sometimes a product is so good, I feel compelled to pass it along. This is one of those.

Much too sweet,

I've been searching for exactly this malt powder as I use to drink malt milkshakes as a kid; I've been having a hard time finding a place that makes them taste like the ice cream shoppe in my hometown.This powder makes every homemade shake taste like my childhood. I use about a tablespoon and a half for a 24oz shake and I love the taste every time.Malt milkshake lovers, this is a must have for your pantry.Side note: I use a little bit in waffle batter and it gives waffles a well-rounded taste and texture that'll satisfy any breakfast craving.

great product..... makes fantastic malts

Smells and tastes pretty “malty” but I was surprised at how small the can was. I should have paid more attention to the size/ounces - but the can looked big in the photo. Wouldn’t buy again just because it was too sweet for my liking and too expensive for the size.

It was not until I picked up Carnation Malted Milk in a Walmart and made a glass full that I realized that there is a difference between this brand and Carnation. Soda Fountain brand blends so much nicer. Nothing left in the bottom of the blender like the unaffected powder of Carnation brand. And since I had both flavors within a week of each other, it was easy to remember the bursting sweetness and smoothness of Soda Fountain brand, and how disappointed I was with Carnation (which used to be my "go to")
