Awesome for science project.
I will admit no interest in buying supplies listed by the teacher for classic paper machè. The dread at the thought of such a freaking mess. Just so the teen can make a brain mold. Teen refused to use own head but alas the local craft store sells styrofoam heads (seemingly for knit hats and other crafts but for us it was the Base for a human brain). This was super simple, easy to use. Easy to texture. The reluctant teen once shown how to manipulate the paper clay was able to sculpt a reasonable approximation for a human brain model representing his own. It dried within a day so he could paint the sections as instructed with watercolor paint. Of course mom had to hand carry the labeled project to school since teenager refused to carry it around all day. None the less mom got the ultimate prize and we crowned a new favorite teacher since she asked to keep the head and my son’s brain model to show future classes an example of a finished product.

Good for crafts.
I've just started using this stuff. I make 3d sculptures with it. It gets fairly hard if you layer it thick enough. It takes a little while to get used to the mixture of water and powder. There's no real wrong answer, just what kind of consistency do you want, soft or clumpy? My only wish is that there was some way to get this stuff super smooth in the end. Maybe I just need to sand it more.Overall though. I like this stuff and would use it again. It's not super strong, so don't sit on it. The plus side is that it's light weight and strong. And I can shape it to pretty much anything I want.

Great product! I love it!
This is a wonderful product! There have been negative remarks made about this product, but I believe the people using it might not have been following the directions. If you mix in enough water to make a sticky paste, the paste will adhere to whatever you are using (in my case, I was coating styrofoam). If the product is too sticky to manipulate, all you have to do is wet your fingers and smooth the surface. The thicker you apply the product, the longer is will take to dry. "Fast" all depends on how thick your layer is. The initial layer takes the longest to dry. Once the initial layer is well dried, subsequent layers dry faster because the moisture is wicked away by the underlying paper mache. The price Amazon is selling this is very reasonable. I've priced this product in two other places, and the Amazon price is about 40% less.I've tried various paper mache products, and this is the best by a very long way!

Required some improvisation
I decided to do a class project making globes. I’m used to the traditional way of flower and paper strips. I was really nervous about this and the amount provided. Two pounds would be great for a single project maybe two small projects. It was definitely not enough for 6 mini globes. It’s also really hard to smooth out. However knowing this, it’s works pretty well and it a little more convenient. I’m not to sold on the price however considering, again 2lbs really isn’t much. I would use it again just with better planning.

Doesn't do what it claims it should
This is a mess. You're better off just using glue, flour and water

Easy to use for sculpture
Never tried this medium before but was suggested and it is messy but easy to work with. I am doing a small sculpture with it.

Most of the paper mache arrived loose in a bag with a sashed box
I did not like the fact that the box was broken open and the paper mache was loose in the bag and got all over everything when I opened the bag. I did not like the fact that the paper mache got all over the dog toy that was sent in the same shipment because the plastic bag the dog toy came in had ventilation holes in it. Is the dog toy still usable? Is paper mache harmful to dogs that chew toys with paper mache on them? Who knows?

WORKS WELL - TAKES A LONG TIME TO DRY
This paper mache product has been around for many years now. I like it because it gets wet fast and then it has a rather extended working time. Once a bit dry, it is easy to smooth it and it hardens at a good pace. It takes about a couple of days to dry if it is thicker than 3/4 inch. Once it is dry it is rather light and easy to sand. Great for puppets. It is rather brittle and soft, so you need to cover it with a stronger layer (cheesecloth or torn paper) if it will get a beating.

Only The BEST.!
Well ok it is 8 ounces less than what it should be but the price remedies that. It works great but brittle when thin so I usually make a regular coat on to p of this one.

basic only
This stuff is ok for covering armatures, but not for surface detail, or stand alone pieces.
