Pretty pot, but I killed two plants in this pot.I only put water in bottom pot, but both plants died. The soil was soaking wet and unfortunately each plant died. I put proper amount of african violet food, even bought new soil. It turned out to be an expensive and disappointing loss.Anyone know why? I'm perplexed, as I'm goo with plants usually.

I used to purchase these exact pots for between $15 and $20 each from Lowes. Though I would expect an increase in cost, this is nearly 80% more and it is the only source that I've found, so far. My violets love them and it takes the guess work out of watering and feeding. I just purchased an usual hybrid violet, and wanted to make sure it had the best possible environment to thrive.Shipping was quick and the pot was packed securely and arrived in perfect condition.

I love this. When I first saw it I could not understand how the plant received the water as there are no holes in it but it works perfectly. I have an African violet that is not supposed to be watered from the top. I transplanted it into this planter and the violet took off. I haven't seen it look so good since I got it a year ago.The planter itself is so pretty and adding water to it you don't even have to lift the pot, it has 2 holes to use so you know how much to put in.

I was hesitant as this pot seemed expensive. I love the color so ordered as a treat for myself. It's absolutely beautiful! The color is amazing the the glaze is perfect. The packaging was sturdy and just-enough to protect it without killing a forest.I've repotted my African violet and hope it thrives in its gorgeous new home.

I ordered the purple African Violet planter. It arrived with a chip on the inside rim of the base. It's not damage from shipment so shame on the QC folks. With the planter inserted in the base, you can't see the chip so I decided not to return it. Beautiful color! I would order from them again but 4 stars instead of 5...

Violet container was exactly what I expected.I was not disappointed. Thank you for having exactly what I what I wanted. My transplanted violet is doing well.

I bought 2 of these for my African violets when I separated my old plants (that were in different self watering ceramic pots). I’ve had these plants for years and they were my great grandmother’s. These pots rotted them. They absorb way too much water and soaked the plant to death.

A self watering pot is an absolute must for African violets.
