Great first phone for kids – safe and easy to use
I got the myFirst Fone R2 for my child and honestly, it’s been a great purchase. It’s very easy to set up and the interface is simple enough for kids to navigate without any issues. I really like the safety features, especially the GPS tracking and the ability to control contacts, which gives me peace of mind. The battery life is decent and lasts throughout the day with normal use. The watch is also comfortable and the design is cute, my child actually enjoys wearing it every day. Calls and messaging work well, and the sound quality is clear. Overall, it’s a perfect option if you’re looking for a first device for your kid without giving them a full smartphone. Highly recommend!

GPS tracking is horrible
The GPS is WAY off and I have not been able to correct it no matter what I've tried. Even when my child is in a safe zone at school, it shows in a different state. Virginia and Michigan are not at all close. The video calling is cool and works great but I bought it for a GPS tracker and it is horrible. If you want nothing but a phone with video calling this is great, but location services need a ton of work.

Cool watch!
I got this watch for my son, and it’s been such a relief as a parent. The fact that he can call and send little messages from his wrist makes it super convenient, and I love that I can quickly check his location through the GPS whenever I need to. It gives me peace of mind knowing where he is, especially when he’s at school or playing outside with friends. The watch itself feels sturdy and comfortable, and the battery lasts long enough to get through the day. It’s simple enough for him to use on his own but has all the safety features I was looking for. Only downside that I felt is that my son can't type his texts to me, there's only a voice text option or emojis. Other than that, it's definitely worth it for parents who want to stay connected and keep their kids safe without giving them a full phone yet.

Great purchse!
Superb watch for 8 yr old. Our experience has been great. The battery lasts throughout the day and it is perfect until time for a “real” phone. I love the gps to track location and video calls when at friends or relatives. I can text and he can voice call. It’s sturdy, fits well, and connected to bluetooth seamlessly. It was a terrific buy and a good value.

Disappointed - limited functionality and used
I was really hoping that the watch would be useful, i have to say that i am pretty disappointed with few things. it was used and has some scratches on the belt. the watch did not have film on screen as well as sticker page had missing stickers. I have also found pictures of the previous owner and a few messages. which is very disappointed. The watch is not very intuitive and scrolling is hard for the kids especially with bigger fonts for kids. it is easy to read. The speaker and call quality work but can be unclear in noisy places. The biggest frustration is that the internet does not work at all and it is only working with wifi. which makes it much less useful that i have expected. Battery life is okay and the watch itself feel b strudy and comfortable but overall, it did not meet any my expectation. I wanted something that would keep me connected and give a peace of mind but this was fall short on that.

Perfect for my 14-year-old
The watch is a standout piece that balances modern design with great functionality. And I love the camera function is very compatibl. Its sleek look feels both futuristic and versatile, making it easy to wear for almost any occasion. The build quality is impressive, with a sturdy feel that gives confidence it’ll last. What really shines is the attention to detail, small touches that make it feel special. It’s a conversation starter without being flashy, perfect for anyone who loves unique, I love to customize because it comes with stickers and my daughter love it!

First watch
We purchased the MyFirst Fone R2 Smart Watch for our little one, and it has been an incredible experience. It enables us to stay connected throughout the day. I can call or video chat with them anytime, and the process is incredibly smooth. The GPS feature provides me with peace of mind, allowing me to monitor their location, whether they are at school, a playdate, or simply playing outside. I particularly appreciate the safety features, such as the SOS button. My child is familiar with its use, which brings immense comfort to me as a mother. Additionally, the watch tracks their steps, which they find engaging. It has transformed into a fun game for them, encouraging them to stay active. The watch fits their wrist perfectly and is not overly bulky, which is ideal for smaller children. Furthermore, it is user-friendly, allowing them to operate it independently. This fosters a sense of independence in them, while I feel connected and secure. Without a doubt, it has been one of the best purchases we have made!

PLEASE READ !!! For your child’s safety
I would give no stars if possible. PLEASE READ!!!!! Very important! Do not buy this item. I am a tech savvy individual and mistakenly bought this based off the video calling feature. That said; when unboxing the watch and getting to know it, I began to see red flag after red flag a quickly noticed the security issues. Not only did it have issues pairing ( which it never did ) the website has false advertisements from the company claiming 24/7 support. However, through chat and call there was no support available . confirming all the red flags I saw during the boot up process, and the set up of the app. And just so you are aware I made two separate accounts and was not able to delete either with consistent error codes. I normally do not post however I didn’t want anyone to buy this for their kid seeing as it would be something but to keep them safe. After an hour of troubleshooting, I put the watch back in the box; in the car. Then went right to Best Buy to buy a Fitbit Ace which my child absolutely loves. and I do as well. and trust in the company that makes the watch.

Initially, everything was fine. After 20 days of use, the speaker stopped working, and can no longer make any calls. In addition, the device gets extremely hot , it almost burned my son’s arm. I contacted customer service, and they informed me that I need to ship it to their service center in Singapore for inspection, which would cost nearly as much as buying a new item.

Screen is impressive. App functions well, once you get used to it, but it is a terrible UI design nonetheless. The fact that it is eSIM only model makes it a bit of a problem with regards to how you get it to work with Etisalat or Du. I ended up buying myfirst fone package for the esim, which is data only, so you instantly lose the outright phonecall ability. You can only make data voice and data video calls on this esim package. All of the above can be forgiven. What is a cardinal sin with this watch is the battery life. It literally drains while you look at it. I've never seen anything quite this spectacular in terms of drainage. If you bought this for peace of mind, think again. If a child is lost more than a couple of hours, then that's the battery dying on you just when you need it the most. The GPS accuracy is also phenomenally terrible. It consistently places the child 100 to 200 meters away from where they actually are. All that being said, I've noticed the same type of issues in the reviews of many other models, so it's perhaps too much to ask of a phone watch that provides video calls and GPS, both of which are very demanding on the battery.
