CATIYA 12V 150W LED Driver Transformer, IP67 Waterproof Constant Voltage Power Supply for Spotlights

I purchased this to power the LED lighting in my cargo trailer. The trailer has two LED strip lights inside, that only have power when the vehicle is connected, and the parking/headlights are on. I connected a 4 pin plug to this power supply, and plug it into the harness on the front of the trailer. The clearance and taillights come on, but that doesn’t bother me. My main concern was having lighting inside the trailer, without having to have my truck connected to the trailer. It works perfectly. I’m not sure how well the power supply would actually hold up against rain, so I have it protected from the elements.

I installed LED RGB lights above and below several feet of cabinets and bar top. Ended up with about 40' of lights plus 20' of extension wire. This obviously overloaded the power supply that came with the lights. Figuring I needed about a 100W power supply I did some searching and decided on the Catiya 150W unit. This is a very high quality unit and is finished in a beautiful black/silver finish. It's just a beautiful piece of equipment. Anyway, it's supplying 98W of power to the lights and doesn't get warm at all. Bonus is it already has the 3 prong power cord where many other brands do not. Also has x2 wire connections for DC power if needed. Very impressive unit and highly recommended.

The power supply works good but it gives off pretty bad electromagnetic interference at 60 Hz. It also produces a pretty noisy 12 volt signal so wouldn'y be good to use for audio equipment. I used this to power bicolor LED's for home studio lighting and the electromagnetic interference is being picked up by my microphone cable and now the audio from my mic has a 60 hz hum. If your not using yours near something that is susceptible to EMI then it should be fine. If you want one that works without the EMI you'll have to buy a linear 12v power supply instead of a switching one like this. They do have linear 12v power supplies on Amazon that will work at the same price. They are listed as being for audio or lab use but work great. They are quite a bit bigger unfortunately and are less efficient so they do use more electricity and produce more heat.

This transformer is used for some LED Strip lighting that is used under my kitchen cabinetry. The build quality seems excellent and the transformer worked well for about 7 months. Note that we use these lights about 18 hours a day so it is pretty heavy use. Our previous transformer (The original one that was installed by our electrician) lasted about 18 months. I calculate about 3,000 hours. I don't know what the MTBF is on this, but this seems low.

I purchased this power supply in April of 2020. It failed in November of 2020, after 7 months of operation. The power consumption of power supply did not even come to half of advertised capacity and yet it still failed.Seller does not provide contact information for the warranty. After finding contact information and contacting seller twice, I never received a reply. Seller is ignoring my attempts to request warranty replacement.

I installed it about month ago. It has been working great. It powers 36 feet of high intensity led light strips and three led spot lights.

Bought in Feb 2019 did not use till June. This does not work. How can I get an exchange?
