LISTEN - I have thickkkkkkkk 4a/(mostly)4b hair and I always buckle at the 8/9 month mark when I'm natural. It becomes too much to handle on a daily basis and the allure of just getting up and running a brush through my hair always entices me. This is one of the only things that has prevented me from folding. It softens my hair, lossens my curls without losing my type 4 pattern, and my hair has had NO bad reactions to it - skin rashes, hair loss, dryness, dandruff - nothing. I have been steadily naturally for about 2+ years now (longest ever) and honestly it's this. Pricy but a salon treatment would be WAYYY more like 5x more + tip so it's actually insanely reasonable. I only do this treatment every 3-5 months (depending on if I have braids in at the time and don't want to take them out). It basically makes everything work better. Washing is easier (like the shampoo actually lathers and feels soft - I thought type 4 couldn't get soft during shampooing!!!), deep conditions feel more nourishing, blow drys faster, detangles quick, split ends and fairy knots are way down, and it's easier to style now even if I forget to tie it down. It has also grown 5 inches in the last year. I also take MaryRuth's hair growth max IYKYK - but I think this ALLOWED my hair to be healthy enough to grow out which is more important. My hair has never grown that fast and it's the longest it's been in length since 2nd grade when I started getting relaxers. 10/10 I tell everybody about this! I really like how gentle this is. It’s more like a smoothing treatment versus a regular keratin treatment because I still have my curly texture hair however, when you blow dry, you can really see the frizz disappears.

I have really thick curly hair, I wasn’t expecting straight results, I just wanted detangling and styling to be a bit easier but after using this I see no difference in my level of frizz. Also, after using this product and then washing my hair, my hair smelled really bad while wet - almost like bad morning breath.

Works great but smells really bad every time when you get your hair wet. Like rotten vegetables. Once your hair is dry the smell goes away.

I was looking for looser curls and being able to wear my hair straight without my edges fuzzing up. I put the product in my hair on Tuesday of this week and only used heat treatment on my hair when I straightened it. Nothing else. I am showing before and after pictures. I didn’t have to apply heat unless I wanted to. Whereas without Answr I had to use heat everyday. Curls are still there and looser.

For my fine 3b hair, this works better than other at home keratin straightening treatments. Most of the time I blowdry style the front and wear the rest curly. Application is fairly easy: 1. Apply to clean dry hair until it is wet, not dripping (I use gloves and then comb it through) 2. Let it sit 40ish minutes (timing depends on hair thickness) 3. Rinse with plain water 4. Blowdry hair until it is dry 5. Flatiron each section 6 times at 200 degrees Celcius / about 400 degrees Farenheit (I use 350 Fahrenheit) 6. Wait 24+ hours for next wash There are very low to minimal fumes while flatironing this treatment and then afterwards my hair feels soft and conditioned. Other treatments make my eyes and throat burn horribly, leave my hair waxy and stinky, plus cause breakage. Blow drying and/or flatironing after treatment makes my hair nice and straight. Yet my wash and go styles are curly and natural. I can use a light- medium gel to set a looser curl then scrunch out any crunchiness. I am happy with this product and recommend it to those who like having the option of wearing their hair straight or curly.

Product was easy to use it did make my hair softer but it did not eliminate the frizz I won’t be using it again.

The first time I used it i was happy, my hair was smoother. The shampoo and conditioner dont seem to do anything, and after 2 washes, even using these, my hair was frizzy again. I also find the smell very unpleasant, though it is not very strong, so it's tolerable.
