Handy and Versatile!
This telescoping smoke detector tester pole is a handy tool! Ideal for reaching those smoke detectors that are too high to access without a ladder or step stool. It extends easily to reach my smoke detectors, but I primarily use it to hang clothing and handbags on high rods and hooks in my closet. It folds up neatly and comes with a convenient storage bag. Great product!

Wish it was a bit longer.
I got this extendable pole so that if we accidentally overcook a pizza or burn toast to where the smoke alarm goes off I won’t have to run out to the garage and haul the ladder back into the kitchen. I have it stored in the cool velour bag it came in, in one of the top drawers in the kitchen for quick access. Nobody wants to hear that terrible noise for a single second more than they have too and with this tool it would take maybe 15seconds to grab it and extend it to disable the smoke alarm. If I could change one thing it would be to extend it an extra foot or so, so that my senior grandmother who lives with me wouldn’t have to get on her tippy toes and could reach it much easier. It feels pretty well made and is lightweight. If you have tall ceilings in your home and find yourself setting off the smoke alarm by accidentally burning food every once in a while, then you could absolutely put this tool to work.

FSNIWEKO Smoke Detector Tester Pole
Quite lightweight. The extension tubes are slotted and in order to secure the pole such that it doesn't collapse upon pressure you need to twist each section slightly to misalign the slots. Whether or not this is necessary will depend on where the test button is and how your detector is mounted. One of the product photos shows someone putting this tool into their front pocket but I don't really see that happening because the prongs but I guess if you had large pockets /shrug.Handle is wrapped in soft foam and it comes with a basic felt pound for storage.

Not very useful
This pole extends high enough to reach the smoke detector, but I haven't been able to do anything with it other than press the button to test the smoke detector. I thought this was a pole that would help remove the cover of the smoke detector and make putting new batteries in it easier.

Nifty item!
Nifty item! We are going to use this to help hang Christmas lights on preexisting hooks. In some areas, the reach is very far so this is going to work great. It seems well made and has a very good reach. It came with a fancy carrying case that I’ll probably find a use for for something else! Great product.

Long extension = less strength
The media could not be loaded. This is a very specific odd duck product but any time I can avoid getting on a step stool or ladder, I appreciate it. It's a bit difficult to hit the alarm's test button just right, and the longer you extend the pole, the less force you can apply to the alarm button. You can also use this telescoping pole for other things that require a reach and a lift or pull. It comes in a cute case that will prevent unintended items from catching on the points.

As picture. Works as described.
This item arrived in good condition and looks just as pictured. As others have mentioned, the pole could be even longer, sure, but I was able to reach the smoke detector in my room which has vaulted ceilings. It will depend on how high the detector is, but in my case, it will work for all but one of the smoke detector in my house and my lowest ceiling is 9 feet high.
