I've been using Essie's UV Gel Damage Repair Treatment To the Rescue for a few weeks, and I'm genuinely impressed. Gel manicures, leave my nails brittle, peeling, and in serious need of recovery. This treatment has made a noticeable difference — my nails feel stronger, smoother, and healthier with each use. One of the best parts? The color. It’s a perfect pale pink — clean, subtle, and elegant. It gives that "your nails but better" look, which is ideal if you're trying to give your nails a break without sacrificing a polished appearance. The finish is glossy and smooth, almost like a salon-quality manicure without the damage. Highly recommend!

This stuff really works! If you’ve damaged your nails with gel, it might take a few times of using this polish but it will make your nails healthy again. Now I use it as a base coat for my gel polish even though it allows the gel to peel off easily. It makes taking the gel off a breeze (just like press ons) but it also means the gel might come off before you want it to.

Thick polish, short lasting, stays the tinyest bit tacky. Helpful yet disappointing.

I read that this was good for brittle nails and doesn't contain PVB. Polyvinyl Butyral is used for making polish stick, but it can create a bond that makes nails brittle over time. Not everyone is sensitive to PVB, but my nails are. Before using this, my nails would peel and bend using regular base coats. I apply 1 coat, let my nail dry, then a second. After that dries, I either leave it as is, because the color itself is a soft translucent pink, so it makes for a good nude nail. Or I follow up with a nail color and apply it, and my topcoat as usual. So far, I haven't had any issues with peeling. My nails immediately felt stronger underneath it and less flimsy. I'm using this as my basecoat for now with a cuticle oil until my nails grow out.

I have really weak nails. This is the best clear coat / base coat kinda thing I’ve ever tried. It really does stay on longer than most and is thicker kinda like builder gel!!!! Def repurchasing

When I put polish on i enjoyed the color. I was disappointed however when it peeled off easily after I spent time cleaning my outdoor furniture. It doesn't tolerate hands that are in water. It really hasn't helped my splitting nails. I would not buy this again.

After 6 months of gel use, this product is rebuilding my nails! LOVE it.

I received this not even two months ago and the formula became separated with wispy green particles that don’t fully mix back together, even after shaking. It doesn’t seem like normal separation for a new bottle. Likely a storage or shipping issue, but not something I feel comfortable using. Returning.

If you are on the fence about this product, buy it! My nails have always been thin and brittle and this nail polish has been a game changer. 2 thin coats lasts 3-4 days (I’m hard on my hands). I’ve been using this consistently for 1.5 months and my nails have never been healthier. They grow long and no longer split/crack. It does have a strong smell but it disappears after the polish has dried. I would highly recommend and will be repurchasing.

I really liked this formula! Took of vacation nails and was very heart broken with the technicians carelessness. I had been working so hard to keep my nails healthy. Anyway, I was very desperate and this was really nice a sealing those peeling spots and damaged areas. It’s a very thick formula. So I used two layers and polish with a top coat and it really made my nails feel thick again. Very surprised! And happy! I was religious about it for the first two months, but now I’m onto their other strengthener. With polish and top coat it lasted a week easily . Alone it only lasted a couple of days before peeling. But I am very busy with my hands.

Seems to work, however I've only had it for a couple of weeks, not long enough to tell if it will produce the results as promised. I see that other users have given it glowing reviews, but I can't right now.

1 coat, 2 coats, thin layer, thick layer, no fan, with fan.... doesn't matter. Always the same result. Takes 2+ hours to dry, with or without a fan. The longer it is drying, the more bubbles are created. Pulls in less than 25 hours. The results after removal, it made my nails peel more than they did before using the product. This nail polish completely fails on every metric. I am shocked, that this product was ever released to the public. Every other product of Essie's is amazing.
