This stuff is amazing but I did learn that you can't just use it once. I saturated my lawn with it in May and the moles disappeared within 2 days. They definitely do not like the taste of worms coated with castor oil. This week (Oct 1st) I noticed a new mole hill. I realized it had been 3 months since I sprayed so immediately ran out and saturated my lawn with another bottle of this stuff. The next morning the mole had made two more mounds toward the perimeter of the lawn and then across the garden area. YES!! Do learn how it works. It does not poison the mole and pouring it into it's hole is not going to help. Here is how it works.REPEL MOLES WITH REPELLEX® MOLE REPELLENT – At the MU Turf Day in 2010 we learned that castor oil is a bona fide repellent of moles (and voles!). For you soft-hearted folks, who can’t bear the thought of “whack a mole” this is a kinder, gentler option. Repellex® Mole, Vole and Gopher Repellent repels moles and voles by getting absorbed into the soil quickly to dis-flavor food sources. We carry two types of Repellex for moles, dry, spreadable granules (7 lbs for 7,000 sq ft of coverage) and a 32 oz hose-end sprayer (for 8,000 sq ft of coverage). During normal weather conditions this product can last for up to 60 days and offer protection from moles, voles and gophers. The active ingredients include castor oil, pepper and garlic oils, and unique emulsifying agents allow product to penetrate the soil quickly and effectively; up to 60 days of coverage is stated on the label, but here in St. Louis, that’s probably pushing it. Water 1-2 times after application to active the ingredients. For the granular product use 1 lb of granules per 1,000 sq ft of turf. For the 32 oz ready-to-spray (RTS) hose-end sprayer, you can cover up to 8,000 sq ft of turf. Methods 1 to 3 all require some intelligence, persistence and effort on your part…you’ve got to identify the active runways. The repellents simply discourage moles by making the earthworms taste nasty, which tends to drive the moles into your NEIGHBOR’S lawn!

So far so good
I've tried a number of mole repellents. I've lost faith in the castor oil potions. But the Repellex seemed to have good reviews and had garlic oil as an added ingredient. Also, it is liquid instead of the granules I've tried in the past. It is very easy to apply. I used the full bottle on my front beds. Normally I use Trapline traps but in the flower beds, there is no clear tunnel--they just seem to move around haphazardly. After spraying, I have not seen much in the way of activity for a week after. That certainly is different. Hopeing for the best and will update if anything changes.

Leaking package when received.
I ordered a quart of this prior to the shipment of four more quarts. That first quart did not go very far. I used it in my mother's front yard where moles were very active. I knocked down and raked flat all of the mole hills prior to the first application. Three days after that application, I went back over there and checked and found that there were no new mole hills. FedEx delivered the second shipment, today. I came home from my deer camp to find the package on my front porch, leaking. About one third of one of the quart bottles had leaked out of the bottle. Because of its repugnant smell, I could not take it into my garage but put in the bed of my pickup truck. I have never had a problem with rough handling whenever UPS makes a delivery. And I am not entirely sure that the leakage was the fault of FedEx. The package had the inflated packing tubes in it to keep the four quarts from sliding around, but there was no packaging between the bottles and the bottom and top of the cardboard box. The loss of the product is why I am not giving four or five stars in my review. Pictures are available if you need them.

Easy to use and effective
This bottle hooks directly on to your garden hose so you can easily spray your yard. That means not having to mix product, worry about dilution ratios, or hurting your hand pumping a sprayer. Very convenient! I could smell the product during application but it’s not like it lingered in the air when I went back out later.I used this product to rid my yard of voles. During application, I watched a vole run out of his hole and scamper off. He clearly didn’t like the smell. I like that this is a humane product - it simply drives away the pests rather than trapping or poisoning them. Plus then I don’t have to deal with dead voles laying around my yard!

Does not work
Waste of time. I have bought 12 bottles of this stuff for a small front yard. Followed the directions to the letter and all this stuff does is chase the voles all over the yard making it look a mine field. All it does is piss them off.

Moles were gone after the first application.
After the first application the mole tunnels were gone. I was amazed it worked so well. One bottle is supposed to cover 4000sqft but it took quite a bit more than that as it dispenses very quickly. This makes it a bit costly to use. However, moles are very hard to get rid of, and many products don't work at all so I will definitely continue to use this throughout the summer and fall. It has an odor but it's not unpleasant and dissipates once watered in and dry. I would recommend this product.

Moles came back too soon
The product didn’t seem to work. The moles were gone for a little over a week and then reappeared. I’ve used this product before with much better results. The product I used before was much thicker in concistancy than this one. They have obviously changed the formula!

YES, BUY THIS -- IT WORKS!
This stuff is incredible --- the active ingredient is castor oil which is a natural repellent to moles and voles. We have both pests in our lawn. Once they get in --- they are very difficult to remove. This stuff is doing the trick. Several applications in autumn and I am finding no more tunnels. Put this stuff right into their tunnels and water it in with the hose.
