It is still toxic, but my understanding is that BMW adds a "embittering agent" that makes it taste bad to some/most pets.

I am familiar with the traditional BLUE coolant used by BMW. The title of this product says GREY. Is this in reference to the color of the fluid?

The container is Grey, I have purchased this item. The coolant color is BMW Blue, not sure why the description says Grey...

Does this coolant need to be diluted or used directly "as is"? If it should be diluted what's the best ratio with water?

Check with the manufacturer to see if it's already diluted. I believe all brands that do so state "50/50" right on the container. As for the ratio, 50/50 is fine in the lower 48 states. A mixture of 70/30 (30% water) is appropriate when the temperature dips below 32 degrees F for long periods of time. This would be appropriate for Canada and/or Alaska.

Can this be used for a 2009 328i?

According to FCP website this fits your car, this is pretty much the standard coolant/antifreeze for most of the BMW cars I know of. I used it on my 2001 M3 and 2005 325ciIf you are doing a complete coolant flush/replacement on your car, then you need to get one jar of this and mix it in a bucket with another 1 Gallon jar of Purified Water (sold in any convenience store,purified water only, not spring water)

Closest BMW dealership is over 40 minutes away. This saved me the time of having to drive all the way there and probably cost around the same. The bottles looked legit comparing to the OEM one I had laying around. Fluid is blue as designed. Mixed it half and half with distilled water and my BMW was up and running again.
