Riddle: What can you tow your car with, use as a weapon, hang yourself with, and hook up to your Xbox? That’s right, only a Monster Cable. People say it's it all based on pseudo science. That they are no better than regular cables. Those people are wrong.Sorry, but I’ve tried all sorts of crazy cables in my day and always come back to Monster Cables. And these for ye ole Xbox are no different. I always get cheap and try the other brand first. Nope, just not as good as Monster. Every friggin time. These cables are particularly attractive, even for a Monster Cable. The wire is covered with a cross mesh showing a lighter color underneath. I wish I wasn’t too lazy to take a picture as it’s hard to describe. And where connects to your Xbox, the base, is also badass looking Xbox black and green. Makes your Xbox look ugly. But that’s not (entirely) why you buy them. How’s the picture quality? Simply the best. Sharp, bright, and crispy crunchy. Well maybe not crunchy. I had to turn my brightness down a tad after replacing inferior cables. They make everything, including brightness, just look better. And that’s always better for the eyes.Downside, so damn hard and scary to put on your TV. Take it slow and put on gradual pressure to make sure you don’t break anything. All Monster Cables have always done this. Really a bummer when you want to plug in another system as they are equally scary to take off. The only real flaw of Monster Cables. And I always duck tape the cord to the back of my TV to keep they heavy weight from doing gradual damage to my TV. Maybe I’m a little paranoid there, but better safe than sorry. These things are hella heavy. This supposedly has a slot to plug in an optional fiber optic cable to enable surround sound or something, sold separately here Xbox 100X Fiber Optic Cable . But I’m not an audiophile so I don’t mess with that. The goodThe best picture quality in the universeSo friggin cool lookingStill pretty cheap (as of 2015 still $30)Highly durableBraggin rightsThe badScary hard to put on and take off your TVSo heavy they might damage your TV, so duck tape the cord to itIf you have modified Xbox with lots of games or just a large Xbox library, you are really just being stubborn if you don’t have Monster Cables. Such a quick and easy improvement to your system. You will see the difference. They are worth it. Period.Edit: If you have a lot of resistance putting them on and off, clean the TV’s RCA jacks with rubbing alcohol and Q-tips. The jacks tend to build up a layer of grime that makes tight fitting cables a nightmare. And always remember to remove them pulling on the heads, not the cord, or you will break them.

Expensive Cable Garbage Quality *Beware*
This Cable I thought would be of Excellent make and performance but No I was mistaken. I went to plug this onto my Brand New TV's Component Jacks and the A/V Plug ends kept snapping off(The outer ring that goes around the jack)!! They are supposed to bend to keep a tight connection but instead I would say about 15 pieces of the little circular ends snapped off and now they are only connected by a few that didn't break. 24K Gold my ass. I now know and will say without second thought that MONSTER Cables are Overrated and we are being overcharged for something that is not up to Par with something half as cheap. Do yourself a favor and find another cable, don't waste time or money like I did and wind up regretting it.

too stiff, ripped out my connectors when taking it off.

Quality product but must have miscalculated some specs
The cable is outstanding. It is very thick and the quality of the picture that is produced knocks composite cables out the water. But like many of the other reviews stated, the actual component cables are very hard to insert or take out of your TV. So much so that instead of risking damage to my TV, I instead broke off the gold-plated sides of the inserts themselves. So...instead of being too tight, they are now extremely loose. lol. Oh well, the picture produced looks great. Great enough to warrant such defacement to a product? Umm...I don't think so. It's made for an Xbox. You'd be hardpressed to find anyone that can see a noticeable difference between these cables vs. any other component cables. Only buy these if you are a Monster fanboy. But be warned that you may have to do some modifications like I did or risk damaging your equipment.

Big improvement over standard av cables. Yes the connectors are very tight...
First thing i want to say is, these cables are RIDICULOUSLY tight fitting (like many other people have already said). I had read in another review of this product that you are supposed to unscrew the ends on the cables to loosen the connectors up and then then they slide in easier, i noticed zero difference when i did this. It took me around 10-15 minutes to get all the cables plugged in to my tv... lots of patience, wiggling and of course, common sense (if it simply won't go in, you're asking for problems if you force it). One cable just wouldn't fit no matter what i did. So i took a very small screw driver, gently wedged it into the middle of the connector and applied a very light amount of pressure on the edge of the connector "ring" to flare it out evenly to a larger diameter. I couldn't notice the difference I made with the naked eye, but that's all it took. After that it plugged in just fine.So BE CAREFUL when plugging these in.That being said.....The difference in picture quality is HUGE compared to the old av cables i was using. I have my Xbox connected to a 2010 46inch 1080p Samsung LCD tv. The colors pop. Everything is sharper. Text is easier to read. HD compatible games look fantastic. For me, it's like playing my Xbox for the first time again. I can't praise them enough.I didn't notice any difference in audio quality though. Not that it's poor or anything. Just no noticeable improvement. It does come with an optical output jack for digital audio though, so you do have the option to upgrade.Bottom line: Great cables for a good price that deliver performance, but are RIDICULOUSLY tight fitting. 4/5 stars

Outstanding video quality that really brings your Xbox to life.
I have waited far too long to get better quality for my original Xbox. Relying on the standard Composite cables for years whilst my TV had entered into HD territory, certainly did it no pleasing favours. I had scoured around Amazon for a video cable that would do well for the Xbox, when I came across this Monster pair here. Impressed by the design and look, I ordered then without any hesitation. The shipping and delivery time was outstanding, by the time it arrived, it had only been about 3-4 days since when I ordered. The picture quality is simply top notch compared to before. Almost every game runs atleast 480p, and they certainly look beautiful. The textures are sharper and smoother, the colours are all vibrant instead of seeming faded off with composite, and it no longer becomes a mess or a blur, it's just the way it should be. The setup is simple, there's no console configuration or setup, it's simply plug in and play, and the console recognizes that it has component cables connected. To maximize your video potential, it's best to go into your display options in the Xbox dashboard and check all that apply (480p, 720p, and/or 1080i), to properly ensure that it picks the best available format no matter what you do. The length of cable is impressive for those who have a large, extended setup, and the gold plated connectors, whilst may not fit as tight as other cables into my connector for my Elgato Game Capture HD (due to the outer bordering around the connector), provide that your getting the best in quality.Whilst it may be only slightly overpriced, it is still worth going for if you demand the best quality possible for your classic Xbox.Oh, and one final bonus? The cable comes with a built in fiber optic cable adapter which allows for the device to be connected to a Dolby Digital receiver.
