I have 3 different pellet grill/smokers, and this one has turned out to be my favorite of all of them. I bought this for RV travel and tailgating (the other ones are large freestanding units) and it has performed great for over a year now. It turns out you don't need a giant smoker for smaller cooks: say, a roasted chicken or a pork butt or a couple of tri-tips or a 10-12lb brisket. This little workhorse will cook them exactly the same as a big smoker and use only a fraction of the pellets. So efficient! I also love the feature where you can slide back the metal firebox cover, turn it up to Max Temp, and have a ripping direct flame for searing. Because of its small size, the grill can heat from cold to 500F in only 15 minutes or so. Even faster if you've been smoking low before turning it up. The searing area is pretty small, but very hot. If you keep the food turning and moving, say, when reverse-searing a whole tri-tip, it works beautifully. The whole thing packs up and stores away so compactly. Perfect size for RV and tailgating.

This portable pellet grill works perfectly for just the 2 of us. It is like 35 pounds so I not be taking it anywhere but rather got a cart to put it on since it is heavy duty and well made. It did arrive with a hole in the box and a dent in the hood next to the hinge in back which when opened kind of clanked. But it fixed itself and it works perfectly and we love it! Especially for the great price! Have done baby backs, chicken thighs and hamburger and the built in thermometer helps a lot. Food was awesome!

Overall the thing with solidly built. You will do very minor assembly of the handles and side trays kitchen hooks etc. Once the pellet tray was filled up it fired up almost instantly and was producing a small amount of smoke. I decided to cook a whole chicken. Although it included a meat thermometer probe that wasn't functioning. It took a while getting the temperature setting right. 3 hours later and thanks to a separate temperature probe that I had the chicken was done. The chicken skin was cooked crispy and seasoned just as I planned. Now for my reason of only four stars instead of five. I was hoping for more intense smoke flavor on the chicken. The unit has a fan which keeps the control board cool and circulates air to the fire chamber and the out the top of the hood. For people like myself I want to taste that smokey bark flavor then this is why only four stars. Too many vent holes in the hood lets the smoke escape rather than smothering the chicken. I may try covering up two little holes and see if I have better effect next time. The vent holes are non-adjustable slots in the sheet metal. Overall it's a good starter unit and I like the fact that with the pellets you don't have to constantly pay attention to it, and it regulates the temperature fairly well. Why the meat temperature probe didn't work I don't know but it may have been defective. I've had charcoal grills in the past propane grills. I've never done woodlump charcoal but this is the first time with pallets. I like the fact that you can pick it up and put it in your trunk and it's portable. I may be moving to an apartment soon so I hope to take this with me that's why I bought it. Don't let the smoke penetration discourage you it's a great starter unit and the fact that it's portable is very handy too overall I would recommend. Enjoy.

All I can say is wow. Used it for the first time last night. Easy to use. Simple instructions. Easy assembly. All temp settings worked perfectly. Great for our camping trips. No need to mess with charcoal and fuel.

This Onlyfire had issues out of the box. After burning it in I set the temp tp180deg to smoke cream cheese. It hovered around 225-250* and never went down to 180*. When smoking @250* the temp swing would jump up to 350-400* it was all over the place never dropping and maintaining 250* I also had the same issues as others have mentioned with black soot on the food and a smoking pellet chamber. I reached out to Onlyfire on their website with emails and using the websites online chat box requesting a new controller. I to this day a year later after my purchase have never received a response.

Great little barbeque I love it works well

Cooked a few meals on it and am pleased with the results. Temperature settings are fairly accurate. Have read in other reviews that fire sometimes burns back up the feed auger at times. This happened once with me and I figured out it was because I turned the temperature down while cooking. Do not turn the temperature down while in use. Turn off and start again. No issues with back burning since I figured this out. It takes no time at all to come up to desired temperature. Instruction manual is a joke but using this BBQ/smoker does not involve rocket science. I highly recommend this entry level pellet cooker. Great value.

Works great

Great smoker, small enough to put away when not needed or to take on a Summer trip... Locking top is great and now that I've done chicken and burgers a few times I am looking forward to doing brisket tomorrow!

Works great as a small portable alternative. Been using for about a month so far, no issues. Could be easier to clean, but not bad if you use tin foil.
