if you have an AV out lead from the Canon it will work with any camera. It has the normal yellow/white/green leads. I have a mixture of Panasonic/Sony/after market equipment and all work fine with it. Beware this does not come with a battery OR adaptor, so you have to have your own power source.

Will this work with a nikon d3100 ? plus is it good for filming youtube vlogs?

If you camera has the right lead yes, I’m not 100% sure what the lead is, but the end that goes into the monitor is a hdmi, the other end is much smaller. I know that probably won’t help you. I use mine all the time to film my YouTube content, but my camera is overhead, so not sure about vloging, as you tend to move around a lot. I love this little monitor, and wouldn’t be without it now. It keeps me on track, in every video.
