This Wicked Cushions headband upgrade made a big difference! My Astro A50X feels way more comfortable now no more pressure on the top of my head during long gaming sessions. didn't fit my gen 2 (they mentioned it's for newer gens), so I tore the pad off and stuck it on my existing bridge. works great and no more head pain

I found this headband to fit well and to be quite comfortable. my headset is the A50 3rd Gen and I’m often on “kid patrol” while gaming. So I have one cup pulled off my right ear. With the oem headpad the plastic dug into the top of my skull and after a couple hrs wasn’t painful, but not comfortable. This pad fixed that issue and I do kinda like the camo pattern on them. The material also seems to absorb less perspiration and oil from my hair. Always a plus.

First of all top quality materials. The foam is a bit more firm than the spongy OEM headband. It feels comfortable once it's on for a bit and seems to be the perfect balance of support and comfort. I love that it adds a bit of flair but WHY would the pattern be set for a white headset but the bracket is BLACK. It's not a deal killer but every time I look at it, it looks like it's been messed with. I was hoping for a flawlessly custom look.People that buy white headsets have a reason, white controller, white console, etc. Please make a white bracket option!

I bought these with also the earpad cushions and boy let me tell you, these things change everything about how my astro a50's feel. The stock pads are okay, but I had a few pressure points on my ears after 2 hours of gaming which is perfectly normal. However, with these I forget I have my astros on.I would say the only con of these is that yes, the sound will change. However, I really recommend that you look up GadgetryTech on Youtube, he talks about the Wicked Cushions and sound profile and even gives a EQ that completely changes the sound in a good way. I play competitive FPS games and with his EQ I could hear everything if not even better because these lock in the sound. So if the sound change is holding you back I would say give them a try and look up his EQ. Sound is subjective so it might be different but for me I could still hear footsteps and I could also enjoy music with my astros now.

Huge upgrade for the A50s, it feels much better on the top of my head than the stock pad which collapses, this one is much sturdier. It also works well for cooling as its not a sponge like what the A50s come with. A little tricky to get the old piece off but the new one pops right in and fits perfectly

A very highly recommended accessory for the A50s along with the replacement earpads. It is firmer and adds the necessary cushion to be comfortable. Unfortunately the A50s do not have better stock earpads and headband, so you're out an extra $50 for both replacements to get the most out of your expensive headset. I feel that $15 is the max this headband replacement should be. Also, since I have the white headset, I wish the WHITE 90s set also came in WHITE to match the rest of the headset.
