Seals better than expected, also works great to dry dessicant.
Works great, held full vacuum for over 2 days. Great quality, solid price point. The gauge is a little odd, you'll have to keep it upright when transporting or it'll leak from the plug that you're instructed to cut. For the price/performance, it's an allowable quirk to me. I used it to dry a stack of repurposed dessicant bags that I use to keep my 3d printing filament dry. I didn't feel comfortable baking clay of unknown origin in my oven at 245°F for 16 hours, I use vacuum to dry vehicle AC systems so I thought I'd try this. It boiled the moisture out of 12 500g bags in less than 10 minutes. I was skeptical that it worked so I vented and pulled vacuum again and this time the vacuum dropped to 30 quickly and just like an empty chamber would, as opposed to the slow, gradual drop over ~7 minutes like the first run. Duplicated on the second batch. Moisture readings when dried bags are put to use validated the result. My PLA and PETG live around 11-16% RH. My idea worked perfectly and I highly recommend it.

VEVOR never misses
Extremely simple to use, self explanatory setup and operation, especially with my 1/4 hp matching vevor pump. The rubber ring for the lip doesn't really stay put, but it's unnecessary for maintaining a high vacuum for long periods of time. I can pull it down to ~.01 atmospheres and it will not move from there for weeks with no leakage The lid is heavy and extremely thick. The pot itself is the bare minimum thickness but still fairly sturdy Vevor isn't the greatest pick for high build quality tools, but everything I've gotten from them is functional and economical. Strongly reccomend

Good Product but make sure they ship you the parts they describe.
I would have loved to give Vevor 5 stars for this product, but the item they sent was not the item that was described, and they were not able to supply me with the correct parts in a timely manner. The items that are described include a preassembled vacuum hose with SAE style rubber sealed connectors and a ¾” tempered glass lid with a special rubber gasket capable of maintaining a vacuum to less than 5% leakage over 12 hours. What I got instead of the preassembled vacuum hose was a clear, wire reinforced hose with barbed ends and hose clamps. What I got instead of a special gasket capable of maintaining a vacuum was two square O-rings that not only wouldn’t allow me to reach a full vacuum, but bled off 75% of the vacuum within 10 seconds of shutting off the pump. To fix the hose problem, I ended up buying a preassembled 3/8” Refrigerant Evacuation hose with appropriate fittings to hook it into the gauge assembly. (I did have to unscrew and remove the Shrader valve from the hose.) To fix the seal around the gauge set, I put a bead of silicone seal on the upper washer, added one of the silicone O-rings and snugged down the gauge set onto the lid. I wiped off the excess silicone seal on top of the lid and let it sit until the silicone was cured. I then removed the lower nut, added the second silicone O-ring and filled the remaining space between the gauge set pipe and the glass where it comes through the lid with silicone seal. I made sure it was full of silicone seal so that when I mounted the lower washer and snugged down the nut, silicone oozed out under the edges of washer. I then cleaned off the excess silicone and let that cure. I now have a vacuum chamber that not only achieves the maximum vacuum for my altitude, but it holds that vacuum for 24+ hours with NO discernable loss. The product is a good product, and I am happy with it. But it sure would have been a lot easier, a lot more efficient and a lot less costly for EVERYONE concerned if Vevor had just shipped the right parts with the assembly in the first place.

Nice once Vivor made it right
Received the first order and the heavy glass lid had a large chip on the edge and the gasket had two cuts from impact. It worked well enough but I didn't pay for a broken unit. Contacted the vendor and they agreed to send out a replacement free of charge (as you would expect of great customer service) but did not have to return the original. Overall works well. It would have been nice to see some clamps to secure the lid in place but the lid is heavy enough to seal as long as the gasket that is placed on the rim of the container is in place. Surprised at how much I ended up using this. Good deal at the price I paid for it.

Defective gauge and handle came off pot
Update: One of the handles has now come off of the pot with the only weight being the lid on the empty pot. This thing is junk. Arrived with a defective gauge that read -3Hg when no vacuum pulled and pegged well past -30Hg when pulling a vacuum. Vevor support was a pain to deal with. Contacted support here and they told me to contact Vevor support. Then contacted Vevor support and dealt with AI but then was connected to a person. Yay right? Not so fast. After an initial message from the person saying they'll be with me shortly, had to wait over 30 minutes asking if anyone was still there for them to finally get back to me and soon after tell me that someone else will contact me within 2 days. On the second day, I'm contacted and told they don't have the part (replacement gauge) in the warehouse and told me to contact Amazon support to return the product. This is far to drawn out a process for a part that only costs a few dollars. I'm just going to buy another gauge to avoid the further hassle and be done buying Vevor products.

Perfect Addition for Ensuring Clear Resin
Just got my hands on the VEVOR 5 Gallon Vacuum Chamber, and let me tell you, it’s a game-changer! Finally, a vacuum chamber that doesn’t make you feel like you’re wrestling with an octopus every time you use it. The tempered glass lid is super thick but crystal clear, which is perfect for checking on my degassing projects without needing to open it up every five seconds. And the 304 stainless steel body? Genius. No more worrying about it rusting or losing its shape when I accidentally splash some resin around. Now, I’ve been into wood stabilization and resin casting for a while, and I’ve always had my woes with bubbles ruining my stuff. This chamber has a 24-hour airtight seal that really lives up to the hype. The vacuum gauge gives solid, precise readings, and the shock absorption from the silicone oil was a nice surprise too. I could finally control the airflow without feeling like I was juggling a dozen things at once. Seriously, if you’ve struggled with leaks in the past, this one’s a breath of fresh air—hardly any noticeable leak rate over 12 hours? Sign me up! I can't even explain how much easier my crafting life has become since using the VEVOR vacuum chamber. The noise reduction feature on the intake valve is a sweet bonus too—no more waking up the entire neighborhood when I'm working on my next masterpiece at midnight. If you're into degassing silicone, resin, or stabilizing wood, trust me, this is the tool you've been waiting for. It’s so easy to use that even my cat ponders taking a stab at a new hobby. Grab one, and let the creativity flow free!

Does the job
The Vevor 5g with Glass lid has been doing a great job for me. I use it to remove air from Resin prior to pouring. The lid seals well with just a little pressure and the pump draws a nice vacuum. So far it has been performing really well and the added silicone mat for the bottom of the pot is a nice addition. Assembly was very easy thoughI have experience with these pumps so if you are not familiar you may wish to look at some videos.
