excellent kit
a good well detailed kit however other purchasers will find as i did some of the paint guidelines are not required as they are parts that are not to be seen when the kit is complete.

PT 109
Nice kit of an important piece of history. Just a shame that there aren’t any crew figuresincluded. A nice tribute to KFK.

Looking for to making it
Not made it yet but looks like it will be hours of fun. Nice detail and bigger than I expected. A marked improvement in Revell's instructions ensure it's easy to follow.

As described
Lovely kit, with medium high end quality as Revell normally gives us. Starting to light sand it then to build it.

Fantastic Model
I didn't build it yet, but just to have an.historic model of WWII and could enjoy it, will be great. I love it and soon I'm going to.start the constructionI saw the model in the box at the unpacking and seems very solid and with all kind of details.I think is a must in all collectors and modelers.

Flawed instructions
I haven't yet applied the decals, but I think I can say a thing or two about this one now.I went for Lt. JFK's version and used Tamiya's TS-33 and XF-81 on the hull, as well as a light rust wash by Mig, which all worked out pretty well. But all of that is thanks to other brands than Revell...There are two parts in the kit that seem to screw up other parts of the construction; if I place parts B26 and B27 (step 24) as I think they indicated, then you'll probably run into problems in step 27 through 32. I ended up cutting off a part of B26 and leaving B27 out. Also, there are a few steps around this part of the instructions that would have been easier to follow if they had added a picture from a different angle, like Tamiya often does. I suppose that's too much to ask.All of that is not such a huge problem though. However, I believe that the ropes (added in the final step) really finish the kit. But... how on earth am I supposed to run them through the hull as indicated in the final step? If you look at Revell's own pictures, they seem to have drilled some holes, but I have no idea how to run it through one end, and then have it come out on the other end. Maybe you can just cut up the rope and superglue the ends to the hull, but that seems quite risky in terms of glue residue. So I ended up not applying the ropes. Too bad. I think Revell should have put some more effort into the instructions.

Endlich ein korrektes PT-109 von J.F. Kennedy
